Are you in favor of this addittion??
Flagnum out of nowhere seems weird, it should just go with whatever secondary you have. Other than that, I’m alright with it.

what if you don’t have one? I think its fine if the carrier can’t drop his flag then it makes sense.
I’m less exited than I was months ago when this was confirmed to be in.
Specifically, the fact that the flagnum is ONLY a flagnum. It should use whatever secondary you currently possess, or none if you don’t have one. An unlimited ammo magnum is kindof boring, and takes away any strategic need to spawn with a secondary over spawning with 2 primaries.

If you don’t have a secondary, then you should have to run the flag defenseless. This would add a level of strategic thinking in weapon choosing. If you choose to keep a secondary with you, then it will be harder to get to the flag, but will allow you to run it back easier. If you choose to spawn with 2 primaries or switch out your secondary for a power weapon, then you could make your way to the flag with ease, or defend the carrier better. But if you end up having to grab the flag, then you would be handicapped by your decision.
Its not o much a matter of making sense canon-wise, but to add that level of thinking to the game.
P.S. The flag should also be made droppable. Not for any stupid reason like flag juggling, but so you can pass the flag to your teamates, or throw it through a lift. This is more reason as to why the flag should rely on your current secondary. If somebody without a secondary ends up running the flag, but they have something like rockets or sniper, then it would benefit them to pass it to a teamate without power weapons or with a secondary. This way, both of them can receive better defenses, and the flag is more likely to make it back to the base.
I like the idea of the flagnum. I really dislike the idea of the flag being both auto-pickup and undroppable because it can make for some very undesirable gameplay situations. One or the other please, and I honestly would prefer choosing to pick up the flag over being able to drop it.
For example, I’m escorting my flag-carrier with a Rocket Launcher. He gets abruptly killed dropping the flag into my hands. Instead of turning and blasting the foe away with my Rockets, they get shoved onto my back and I can only turn on the attacker with a pistol.
With my luck, I can see that happening more than once and I’ll get to be every participant multiple times. And I won’t enjoy a single one of them. Not being able to drop the flag to defend yourself with a more adequate weapon is pretty lame. Combine that with removing the choice of whether or not to limit your offensive potential for the sake of the objective sounds horrible. I want no part of that at all, tyvm.

If only the flagnum was visible on the flag itself… so we knew where it came from.
> I’d rather they just let you drop the flag.
Seriously id like for 343i to make gametypes customizable without these ridiculous rules set in stone.
