Second player can't join for splitscreen?

Pressing A to join is doing nothing at all. Yes, the controller is paired and working in all functions except joining the game.

One controller is wired, one is wireless. This is the only thing I can possibly think of that may have an impact. I’m at a loss. How do you -Yoink- this up?

Got to be an issue with the controller. I play splitscreen MCC all the time.

I seem to have found the problem: he had to make his own GT instead of logging in as a guest. I know you’re supposed to be able to join as a guest so I’m not sure what they -Yoinked!- up in an update or whatever, but that’s how I circumvented the problem.

guests work for me.

What kind of controllers are you using? You said that one is wired and the other is wireless, but Xbox One doesn’t have wired controllers. Did you mean that one of your controllers was plugged in with its charging cable?

I have had this problem before. Even to the extent of being in a party in the menu but each time the game started it would ignore the second player and just start full screen.

Hard reset will fix this.

The power switch: fixing computer issues since the 1940’s.

Incidentally, I tried this at the time to no avail.

That is very strange! Did you fix it in the end?
I wonder if other games suffer from similar random problems on xb1?
I wouldn’t know - I only play Halo.
