Will there be a second beta?
Anyone? Given the fact that it’s almost a year until launch and the beta has issues that will need to be resolved then retested heavily in a more “retail interface” beta
If the game play of the game changes drastically due to 343 changing some of the formula from what it is now, to actually feeling like Halo, then I would be all for it.
But otherwise, I couldn’t see it happening.

Exactly, if there isn’t a second beta to convince me that things will function in a more traditional Halo fashion I won’t be buying the game. That isn’t a threat or anything that if I don’t get my way I won’t buy it, it’s just the truth. I don’t feel like buying a full game if it’s going to play like this beta.
Josh Holmes said there wouldn’t be a second Beta. Case closed.
I’d be down for a second beta maybe around closer to the launch. There is a lot of things 343 needs to change. I’d be nice to test those changes before the game is fully released.
There better be one for BTB.
Nope. (Well, at least that’s what I’ve heard)

This 100%. There absolutely MUST be a H5 beta for BTB. Otherwise it is guaranteed they will have the same BTB problems in H5 that we are having in TMCC.
Still hoping we hear something about a 2nd beta that will contain BTB.
There is an absolute need of a second beta for BTB, from the moment that the multiplayer arena will not be the only core of Halo 5’s multiplayer.

Agree 100%. In all honesty 343 should have another beta closer to launch that is open to the public. That way they can gauge heavier traffic, how the core base views btb/any changes to arena, and would be able to gather feedback from people new to halo that didn’t/couldn’t drop the money on MCC to play the beta. My youngest brother played a few matches with me on New Years and enjoyed it but didn’t have the resources to justify buying MCC to play the beta. An open beta would have a larger demographic to work from. If the Evolve beta had required a purchase of a game I wouldnt have gotten it… JUST GIVE ME BTB 343!!!

343 denied a second halo wars and spartan strike… so they could be lying that there isnt a second beta when they could e keeping it a secret
Honestly, it is really needed for BTB. With all the new spartan abilities we have no idea how broken it could be. Ground pounding a slow moving tank from half the map away could be a big problem(if ground pound does significant vehicle damage, BTB will be ruined)
How will slow projectile vehicles work with thrusters? This could be a problem for vehicles like the wraith , if they speed the projectile up the vehicle could become overpowerd.
What about splatter kills? How easy will they be to avoid?
Lots of things to take into account if they want vehicle gameplay to work with these new abilities.
I really want a second Beta
I think there should be another beta. Halo 5 doesn’t come out till December and a lot of things can change in the meantime, it would behoove 343i to test the hell out of this game and allow the community to offer as much feedback as possible. Seeing as how Halo 5 is pretty much 343i’s last chance to impress and win back Halo players, they need to be as methodical and careful as much as possible to ensure the success of Halo 5.
Honestly, how many people here really want a beta to test out features, and how many of you just want to keep playing the game early?
From what I can tell, 343i has gotten the game’s balance down pretty darn well, especially since it’s a year before the game’s release. If they can get 4v4 arena balance down, I’m pretty sure that we have nothing to worry about when it comes to BTB balance. All they really need to do at this point is to be open with the fans and get their feedback when it comes to gameplay mechanics and other reveals in the upcoming months. As long as they do this, I don’t think there should be any issues.

1 thousand times this^^^^^^^^^^^^
Should there be a second beta? Yes. They should be making a lot of changes to this games, most of them minor tweaks but when you add all the changes up it can make a big difference in how the game plays.
Will there be a second beta? Probably not.
Honestly, they dont need to have a beta that included BTB. They can extrapolate the increase in network traffic that would occur moving from an 8 person game to a 16 person game, so thats not an issue. And the honest truth is… BTB maps are just easier to make. You dont have to tweak and change every tiny detail because the scale is so much larger and more casual players seem to be more forgiving of those things anyway.
