Ten-Hut!
Hi ya Marines!
Oh boy do I love S****eat Switching… I love it.
In fact I don’t think its possible for a person who doesn’t like seat switching to exist.
(Seat Switching is an absolute good btw)I could go on for like 7 hours about what Seat Switching adds to the game.
But instead I’m just gonna ask you some questions:
- What is your favorite experience with seat switching? - Why is it such a great addition to Halo? - And would you fall into depression if you heard it was being removed in future installments of the franchise? (I know l would)
Seat switching is such a pain. Possibly the dumbest feature added to vehicles. Now everyone thinks it’s funny to drive into a base and engage in song and dance all the while watching their teammates get their butts kicked.
I kid. It’s one of my favorite new mechanics and makes seat switching a nuisance in older games. It makes the gameplay flow well. As for favorite experience? Seat switching allowed me to win a 3v1. I made a mistake of not recording the clip, but it was one of my funniest moments in Halo 5 PvP.
Entered the passenger seat, beat the driver, switched to driver seat, gunner switched to passenger seat, I switched to gunner seat, enemy switched to driver seat, I switched to passenger seat, beat the driver, another enemy enters driver seat, beat the new driver, lol out loud.

That’s cool and all, but… “laughing out loud out loud”
Definitely a good tweak to the game. Jumping out of driver seat and walking to the back to get on the gun was a pain, especially if you are in a hurry. Now you just press a button and you are in.
It’s an addition I enjoy particularly playing musical chair when trying to avoid (or complete) a warthog hijack.

Just a little something from Arby n the Chief.
I like it, I like doing a Tokyo drift & pressing A to switch to the Turret & spraying down enemies
I think it’s the most underrated mechanic in the game
Really nice feature. I’m also glad they kept the air break as well since it did take that button.
I love it and it feels so natural. I recently played through the first 4 Halo games and I was really bummed out that seat switching wasn’t a thing in the older games.

I can’t stop laughing now
It’s definitely one of my favorite additions. I hope it stays

Yes Ma’am, you do become ‘acclimatized’ to Seat Switching’s existence.
Maybe in the future Master Chief Collection updates they’ll add Seat Switching to the older games!

Uhh… no, they won’t.
Now, from my experience, it’s really useful. Possibly one of my most favorite new mechanics in the game. Now you’re not forced to jump out into danger and get killed easier because the driver was killed.
I love avoiding the hijacker in a warthog its hilarious
This addition needs to be in every halo game moving forward.
I definitely think its a great addition and should stay as Halo moves forward. I haven’t used it too much since i often avoid vehicles (its my downfall in Halo, and any other game that has infantry, armor, air, mechanized infantry and motorized infantry, etc in the mix).
I think its smart and intuitive and very useful but when on the off chance I am in a vehicle for the first time in forever and I panic and try to bailout, sometimes I swap seats instead of actually exit the vehicle lol. This isn’t a gripe of mine or anything… I just need to get my games straight and remember if I want to “jump” out of a vehicle in Halo I can’t actually press the jump button to do so XD
Seat-switching is a game changer for those who can’t get a fully-loaded vehicle up and running. Hit-and-runs are so epic when you can come into the scene, blast apart your enemies, and make a hasty escape afterwards. Awesome addition.
It’s a nice idea but I kind of feel like the time it takes to switch…takes too long, generally can get someone killed but it’s still a nice idea that I hope future Halo games keep.
