I know that in Halo 5 you get a reward (an emblem) for ranking in a season. I was wondering if there is any reward for ranking in Halo Wars 2. My inner completionist would be very disappointed with missing out on something which I totally could have gotten.
I do (theoretically) have time to grind out a rank this weekend ASSUMING that it will be worth it.
I don’t see why they don’t set up a Blitz card pack award for ranks each season.
My idea would go like this:
You get rewarded for your highest rank in Blitz and your highest rank in multiplayer each season - This means you can if you play both get 2 rewards per seasonReward structure:
Champ = 15 packs - Onyx = 12 packs - Diamond = 9 packs - Platinum = 7 packs - Gold = 5 packs - Silver = 3 pack - Bronze = 1 packIn theory if you get champ in Blitz and in Multiplayer you would be awarded 30 packs per season. If this was to be enacted, is 30 too much? Should the reward be a single rewards for whatever your highest rank is? Help me out guys.

I kinda like this idea but I think it should just be your highest rank of the 2

Not the best idea. As Blitz is pay to win, you are only making higher ranked players even better, while people who have not bought packs or are just starting out are going to struggle. With challengers as the only other way to gets packs it is just going to widen the gap between pay2win and play2win players.
Also, a lot of the multiplayer ranked players don’t bother with Blitz and packs are no reward for them.

This is THE MOST RIDICILOUS HYPOCRISY.
Every one said the first two seasons were terrible, now season 3. I’ve heard the patch was good, now it’s bad. I also ask, do either of you use the leaders that are percieved to be on the upper end of the unbalance?

I would agree if it wasn’t for the shield generators. From a UNSC main’s perspective this current version is a disaster. Everything else is in the best state it has ever been.

Although I agree the current state of shields is a bit broken, shields are not the reason unsc isn’t viable. Banished can hold map control and build better unit compositions than unsc.

patch two: forge with hundred jr
patch tree: Kinsano rush, 2 hellbringers and 3 JR, in 2:15. (mines of ShpM)
PATCH 4: 3SHIELD +INVI ,ODST beter of locust to kill base.

Last patch, I was doing just fine as UNSC. They had a disadvantage, but could still compete. With the state of the shield, though, whatever viability the UNSC had is now lost. The last patch the UNSC relied on a successful counterpush to win, but in this version you can’t break the shield with that force. You also can’t trade bases at all anymore.
Technically Blitz isn’t pay to win since in ranked mode of blitz all cards are set to lvl 6. however it is true you’re at a disadvantage still if you don’t have decks with 1 of each card but this easy enough to obtain just through playing the campaign and normal multiplayer games you get plenty of free packs from completing challenges
I don’t feel like giving free blitz packs would be that impressive of a season reward, i’d much rather see unique unit skins or different animations for leader powers or something of the sort, or even a player profile icon. But i very much want to see season rewards implemented
