Why do our rankings reset each season if we are placed in the same tier with the same level players every season regardless of progression? For instance in the “Preseason” of breakout I played horribly, a 0.4 K/D spread and I won 3 out of 10 matches. I got ranked Silver. January Season I did a little better I won 50% of matches and got placed in bronze. Seemed appropriate for how I was playing, it took some time to figure out the mechanics of the breakout game. In the February season I played 10 matches, 83 Kills,37 deaths for a 2.2 K/D and won 7 out of 10 matches. Two my team was overmatched and one was 2 on 4. I got ranked BRONZE again. This leads me to my question, why reset the ranks if they don’t actually reset. Isn’t the point of seasons to see how we have improved each season and if that places us into a better tier?
Rank resets are basically to make it so champion players don’t get super high CSR. There really is no reason to reset anything below champion imo.
I agree. Now that I have finished most of the commendations you can get in arena it gives me something to do in the game, although it is getting pretty slim on stuff to do as well.
