Whilst actual seasons is likely not going to happen.
What if, after a major event, the season of the game changes. From the Summer look we’ve seen to a Winter. Covering the map in snow. From a lore stand point this could be due to damage to the Rings weather control systems.
Not likely based on what we’ve been told about the limited biomes in Infinite (not necessarily a bad thing). For hypothetical purposes, that is a great idea
! I loved the snowy missions in Combat Evolved. They addded an unforgettable visual flair to their campaign missions.

It is sort of sad to me that 20 years after Halo 1 launched with a variety of biomes, halo fans are just hoping that at some point Infinite will add DLC that lets us experience weather or other biomes. One would hope that a variety of biomes would now be standard in a Halo game.

What I mean is that sometime through the game the climate of the area would change. So instead of it being green and sunny, it would be cold and filled with snow. It wouldn’t need a biome change so to say.
The biome in Infinite is said to be that of the Pacific North West. The change would effectively be from Summer to Winter. Same area/map. Same layout too but with a visual flair of uniqueness.
Though your basically right on this being a hypothetical, just grasping at straws for there to be a snow area in the game. That isn’t relegated to mountain tops. Snow did add an unforgettable flair to their missions.
This is a great idea if they have campaign dlcs that revisit Zeta Halo. That way the ring could receive a new look every so often, kind of like how some other games like Warzone or Fortnite use huge scripted events to make sweeping changes to what is otherwise the same map. I think 343 is more likely to release new campaigns in Halo Infinite that take you to other worlds first but it would be a pretty huge waste if they made such a huge map for Infinite and didn’t use it again at some point.
I like the idea. It seems like their engine is more compatible to do that now.

I like the idea, and I feel could the idea would work great near mountains. I recall we see snowy mountain tops in some of the Halo: Infinite trailers which initially gave me hope for naturally-occurring scenarios that would play out like the timeless CE missions we remember.
I think they already went pretty far with the day-night cycle thing.
