Are any of you having problems with the game after the update? I want to point out that yes I know that I have a wooden pc because it’s i5 7th gen and gtx1050 but before the update I had a constant 60fps (playing btb I also had 60fps) using the minimal frame rate option. After the update I have so much input lag that moving the mouse is so delayed that it behaves as if it was literally floating on the screen and I have fps drops.

Yes. I have had the same issues. I don’t have the best PC either, but it still ran great on previous seasons. I submitted a bug report, I suggest you do the same so it gets to them!

I’ll have an ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, 5800X and RAM for sale soon, as I’m parting to upgrade to AM5 7800X3D.
To be fair, you’re GPU is under the minimum specs for Halo Infinite.
I haven’t tried Halo since the update, but I did see a Tweet from 343 saying they’re investigating the performance issue with season 3. They didn’t specify if it was for console or PC, so I’m assuming it applies to both.
I got a ritz 3070ti and had to turn all my settings down to medium and it still stutters both in game and in the armor menu. 343 needs to put a patch out to fix this cuz Monday this was not a problem for me with all settings on ultra. I usually run the game at 1440p with over 200fps. Can’t get over 60 now.

What driver are you on? If you’re on 531.18 they released a hotfix for it, 531.26 that will not show up in experience or their driver page.
Although I don’t believe your issue is driver related, 531.18 bug is higher CPU usage from NVIDIA Container might be observed after exiting a game.

Also, just so people are aware. Season 3 is not an update, or DLC of some kind, it’s a whole new build. This “update” replaced the existing game with a new one.

it’s not from the driver. I’ve checked everything I can. there is something broken after this update, in addition mouse aim assist does not work. I can forgive these fps drops, but not this floating mouse. can’t play. It’s time to take a break from this game.

I got around to trying it out last night. Just played a custom game on Chasm and I was getting just under 120fps, Strix 4080 5120x1440 100% resolution scale on ultra settings. I’m pretty sure I was getting well over 200 fps before.
I also got a message saying something like hardware settings have change, would you like to apply new settings or keep current settings? It wasn’t a “yes or no” answer to choose from. It was continue or cancel. Continue to use new settings or continue to use current settings? Cancel using recommended settings? Should be a yes or no option since it asked you a question, simple. So I picked cancel thinking it would cancel their recommended settings and use my current settings, but it just set everything to low.
My key bindings and sensitivities all stayed the same, but all other settings were back to default. It was annoying setting everything back to the way I had it before.
How wonderfully confusing. Must have been done by the person responsible for the ‘underperformed/overperformed’ labels on kills and deaths.

Playing on Xbox Series X here, never had any frame drop problem before Season 3 update. Even in customization mode, everything is now slow, everything takes time to load, the whole game lost it’s fluidity. Update nowadays just bring more and more problem, in every game it’s the same. Someone somewhere isn’t doing the right thing, stop picking your nose.
Yep. Series X and PC seem to have copped the worst of the issues with this update. The fact that they still haven’t fixed it or given an update really worries me.
Season 4 is just over 2 months away when they might break more things.
