When do seasons reset it says season is July to August. Do they announce it before they reset or does it just happen?

I hate the reset though, because of this new ranking system I’m the lowest rank in every playlist than I’ve ever been in a long time. The answer to your question is no they don’t announce it when the new season starts it tells you how long it will last.

It happens whenever they get time basically. The 4th is the first time back at the office in the new month for them, so that’s probably the earliest – but if they’re really busy, it could take longer – one time it wasn’t until the 15th, but I think their workflow has improved since then so it should be more on the early side next week. I think they sometimes post on twitter when the reset goes through, but officially there’s no real announcement other than the general approximate of the season names.

Sometime this week. It really sucks that we don’t have a date. Most of the other games get dates far in advance. I don’t understand why it’s never been like that for Halo 5.

Yeah season reset are a waste of time if there’s no date.

They will provide a date closer to the time they are ready to reset it. If they don’t have a hard date it means there are things in play that could change before then and it wouldn’t make sense to provide a hard date they may have to pull back from.

What do you mean by that?

Yeah I don’t get it either. It’s the “July - August 2018 Season.” You’d think this would mean the season runs from July to August. And due to the haphazard way things are organized on Waypoint (some news is in forums, some is in news section, etc.) there’s no way to find out when the new season starts.
