Season Points

Since this is the last season of MCC and most have taken breaks from the game since its release like myself. I have recently gotten back into the game and have looked at how much is left to unlock for myself (200+) easy, and have also realized that is a LOT of weekly challenges. I would love for Infinite to release and not have to constantly take hours away from a brand new great looking game after playing the beta to play MCC every week. Please since the last season has come, up the number of season point opportunities. remove limit on rank 100+ points, increase points per weekly challenge, add daily challenges that reward points, add more weekly challenges that give points per week etc etc… Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Going back to MCC after Infinite’s launch is completely optional. Is it going to be worth spending time trying to unlock cosmetics for a game you’re hardly going to play anymore when you’d rather play something else? For me the answer to that question is no.

343i are looking into ways to improve the season point model in the future but I doubt we’ll see anything about that until early next year.
With season 8 being the last season there will be changes to MCC’s systems to make content more accessible down the road but as of right now with season 8 having just released yesterday there isn’t going to be a sudden revamp of the progression system. Just got to earn your points like everyone else does at the moment.

i completely understand that, and wouldn’t expect anything major to change until the usual 2 ish months to pass. I’m mainly talking about the fact of it’d take me probably a month or two into 2022 to unlock everything if i do every main challenge every week from where i am now. I’d like to see a change to the point system in mid-late December, shortly after infinite’s launch, so the group like myself that will probably always go back to MCC because they grew up on halo can move on from it multiplayer wise not feeling incomplete if that makes any since lol. I’ll probably always go back to MCC for the campaigns, maybe not the multiplayer, but still would like my spartan from each game to be how i want for (insert example long time period). Maybe they will change it, maybe they wont, it’d just be nice to have everything as the multiplayer side of MCC dies down

Pish posh, we all came back to MCC after Halo 5 ended, this is Halo’s entire Legacy collection, it can still last even longer, the more freedom we get the better, but forcing people to play the same specific goals in vanilla campaign and matchmaking a few times a week to get any points is goofy.
