Season 8 New Armor

Which will you choose? Or are you against it? I’m pretty excited :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I said before in another thread that it will be very hard to keep my all-Recon look this coming season xD

I’m probably gonna mix Hayabusa with one of the new armors, not sure which yet though!

I won’t be wearing anything new. It’s not for me.

I think i’ll be stickin’ with the classic armor

Going to be changing to a mixture of classic and season 8. Not Halo Online ported armor though. That stuff is awful.

Same here. I love Recon. But some of the new armor is just too tempting. Especially after wearing recon for so very long.

Am I the only one who thinks Recon is a bit overrated, and overused (I say as I hear the mob approaching)?

I have a very soft spot for Drengr thanks to my heritage and religion. It will be part of my armor going forward for sure.

I’m firmly against it, at least the H:O armor could be justified in both preserving otherwise lost media, and easing the art shift from Halo 3 to Halo 4 for newcomers. This season 8 stuff is just 343 falling back into the same bad habits that the halo community railed against for nearly a decade, just to market the next games features. However it’s worse here since it’s affecting the old titles that till now were largely receiving nothing that wouldn’t have been out of place with a standard PC port pre-Don Mattrick.

Sad to know that my plans to use the legacy toggle for the first month of Icebox’s release have become permanent for the foreseeable future. I might reevaluate in time if they add in the remaining unreleased H:O armor from Season 5 alongside some actual legacy recreations, or they wind up adding a fracture content specific toggle (something that even Infinite should have after launch)

100% will be rocking the Greek warrior armors. I will probably always mix and match items from this season.

I think it still looks cool, Dunno what the point in saying that here was.

Completely hate the season 8 stuff, makes me sick, new content is going be permanently disabled (bye bye visors and weapon skins :frowning:)

Imagine getting sick at a 14 year old game getting new armor. Couldn’t be me.

It looks cool but I won’t be using it.

Really wish the body armor and not just the helmets were coming to Reach’s lackluster collection of unique body armors and not helmets.

I have no idea tbh

I feel conflicted over it. I think it looks really good and I like a lot of the designs. I just don’t think it fits with Halo 3’s aesthetic or setting. And yes, I understand it is meant to be alternative universe armour. I feel the same about Hayabusa, to be honest. I think it looks cool, just out of place.

I have nothing against anyone choosing to use it for themselves. But I do fear what it may mean in the long run. How far are we going to deviate from Halo’s aesthetic before we have gone too far? I doubt we will be allowed to remove content if the line is crossed, especially if it sold as part of a season pass or e-shop purchase in Infinite.

Oh and the fact that it’s just not being added to Halo 4 at all, what is the issue? That it willl lengthen the season pool? Just make them unlock with both games at once…

Going to be just wearing by Default Mark VI
