Keep getting Fatal error while playing on pc (My specs RTX 3080, Ryzen 9 5950, 150mbs internet) this mostly seems to happen on big team approximately once every 2 games, while in social slayer once every 4-6 games (i am only playing halo 3 though) not sure if this matters, I have tried turning down graphics and fps to 120 locked with no difference; i could really use some help guys! Is it perhaps just season 8? I wouldn’t know as I just started playing on pc 2 weeks before season 8 dropped.

I know what’s wrong and how to fix. Disable the new skins and armors for H3. This fatal error crash only occurs when you have them enabled. This is a known issue for the devs and they are looking into fixing it. After disabling, jump into a few matches of H3 and see if your stability improves.
You can disable new skins and armors by going into settings, then the gameplay tab, select Halo 3 on the list and set new armors and skins to off/disabled. Let us know if this works for you.

I have had the same experience with the fatal error. I did the suggestion and I was able to play for 4 hours consecutive with zero crashes. Thanks for the suggestion.
