Season 3 Predictions

I know this is jumping the gun a little since we’re still months away from Season 3 but some friends and I have been thinking about Season 3 and the over-all theme of it. Since season 3 starts in November which is generally a big month for the Halo franchise in general, we imagined it focusing more on John-117 himself. Perhaps those at the academy could learn about his survival and activities in their on-going storyline. This could make way for featured armor core to be the Mark VI since it’s iconically been worn by him.

Could see them doing a memorial to the battle of earth, where they’ve got halo 3 inspired armors and even a sgt johnson AI

Mark IV Armor Core, with Cross-Core enabled between some assets of Mark IV and Mark V Bravo.

Sounds practical, here’s hoping to things getting better in Season 3.

If they don’t do it by the end of the season, I think there’s a chance the Mark V [B] becomes a partially free core (though with not much access to things). Having it be tied to the season 1 pass only kinda threw away monetization opportunities and event opportunities they could’ve had otherwise.

Season 1: Colossal failure

Season 2: Season 1 with extra steps

Season 3: Season 2 with extra steps

I’ve noticed that 343 HEARS a lot of the feedback but DOES fairly little with it.

i’m pretty sure they hear it from the gamers, but they also see it in the shop. and since the MTs does so well, at least judging by almost everyone i’m meeting online has spend money on battlepasses and/or the store, why should they change anything? their real customers are the investors on the boards and they are happy with the income.
gamers are just the kettle for the gaming industry.

I predict we’re getting more of the same, with slight optimization improvements.

My guess is if you don’t like Infinite right now, you’re not going to like it until 343 does a soft re-launch in a year+. And then you’re not guaranteed to like it either

I could definitely see some hints towards Halo 3 in some form, be it a Sgt. Major Avery Johnson styled AI.

But with Co-Op flighting and more poking towards the potential of Forge and Custom Games, I could see a lot of Forerunner styled pieces (maybe even Prefect returning from Halo 4 as a new Armour base). Imagine having AI sounding like 343 GS, 2401 PT, Exuberant Witness etc?

More content for the store, a couple boring maps with safe and uninspired level design. Maybe they will finally add emotes and silly dances. I’m really looking forward to the new campaign updates, and for the game I paid $120 (Xbox and Steam) for on launch day to continue to not run on my Linux gaming PC, or my Xbox One S! :tada: *Halo 5 loot crate sound effect* Ooh! And I bet the game engine that the whole game is built upon, you know, the one that isn’t even stable or feature complete, will finally be getting some much-needed bug fixes…

Store will still trickle s3 content slowly.

Season 2 loot will be added to the list of FOMO

Prices will increase slightly.

Season 3 Fractures will likely be that BioOrganic stuff we are getting later on in MCC.

I am not sure. The theme seems to be more tied to the multiplayer story than the game modes. We did get Last Spartan Standing which kind of fit the Lone Wolf theme I guess.

From the leaks there’s mentions of a Bandit rifle and the DMR.

I was actually thinking about the Mark IV as well. Maybe it could be a decent compromise if 343 decides not to give us the Mark VI armor core for some reason. They both share some variants between each other already so it could work.
