Okay, so Requiem falls into its sun’s core, vaporizing and causing the sun to go super-nova. That would be fantastic if it wasn’t season 1.
The problem with this is there is now no good reason for Prometheans to return in future seasons, unless they joined the New Covenant. We will also probably see a lack in the beautiful landscapes festuring working Forerunner tech.
The big question is, where does the campaign for the Janus key continue? Do they battle it out on Sanghelios? Earth? Or even one of the new Halos? (including Forerunner Saga’s Installation 07 and Greater and Lesser Arks.)

That ending seemed tacked-on in my opinion.
Prometheans have a huge number of good reasons to return. The Didact? Guard an installation against Flood? Maybe even fight alongside you!
The battle for the Janus Key can go anywhere. The story will likely continue on with Halsey’s apparent campaign for revenge, and a pursuit of the Janus Key.
Prometheans were the Didacts failed attempt to build an army invulnerable to Flood infestation. The project itself was a success, but was condemned by his wife and the other leading figures. He was sentenced to exile and his Prometheans were repurposed to keep trespassers from releasing him. This is why they are initially blue.
It would make more sense that they would all be buried with him on Requiem.
This reminds me of another question. If Didact does in the Composer, what are we fighting in Halo 5? Fellow Halo fans forgive me but its like shooting Makarov in the airport elevator.
