One thing that’s been at the back of my head since the concept of Spartan Ops was revealed by our dear friends at Three Hundred and Fourty-Three Industries is the 2nd season, if one should exist. This raises a lot of questions that I’ve been wondering about.
If they do one, it sounds like it will most likely be released around the time the 3rd DLC is set to be released publicly. However none-the-less, here are my questions:
Will they make another 10 episodes?
If so, when will they debut?
Will we have to pay for them?
Will they be more backtracking?
Will it elude to Halo 5?
Will Master Chief make an appearance?
No, 343i said that if there was another season of Spartan Ops that it wouldn’t be free. And I think that the community doesn’t really have enough interest in Spartan Ops to buy another season…
If they make more seasons to play they had better be free. Most of season 1 was lame, episode 7 was a lot of fun, some of episode 6 too, but it hasn’t been all that impressive. But most likely it’ll cost money and will have achievements tied to it.
I, too, would love a Spartan Ops Season 2. Hel, I would even pay money for it. As they named the first “Season 1” rather than just “Spartan Ops,” I would wager that they are planning a second.

Yeah it better be free. Season 1 was such a waste of time I never finished it. I got bored like 1/2 way through. Hell, even the new map DLC should be free just so they can get some players back.
I would really like for there to be another season, for a few reasons.
First, they could attempt to turn an entire episode into Firefight. Simply limit the cutscenes and radio chatter, have the players defend a position for say 10 waves. Each mission would be a different location, with a different set of enemies for each location. This way each mission would vary in the amount of and variety of enemies.
At the end of each mission, the 10 waves, there should be some sort of boss. One mission could be a Scarab, another a Lich, or maybe even those red Hunters from Halo Legends.(Yes, the giant ones they’re too awesome to ignore their potential to be bosses)
While I don’t know the specifics of how Spartan Ops works, they might not even need to attach this to Season 2. It could be another DLC, and while it won’t exactly be its own game mode it would be closer to what we want to see than SpOps currently is.

They’d find a way to -Yoink- it up, trust me. Gamers would be in an uproar too because if this was done you couldn’t possibly have it count for commendations or xp and we know how much people need some kind of reward for playing. It would probably make Reach arcade fight look good. Frankly I would love to play on certain spartan ops maps in matchmaking. Like Extraction on Gagarin or Fortress.

Not currently scheduled doesn’t mean “not happening.” But considering he says Crimson isn’t finished, and Hale said that she’s recording more Halo 4 lines, it seems very likely that it is happening.
give us only 1 mission per week, making it actually relevant to the story and making it structured more like a Campaign, less like Firefight. It should be pretty long and have a lot of variance.
give us 5 missions per week but unlock 1 for each day (that’ll ensure the population is consistent instead of the decline that typically happened after Monday)
I do not look forward to a Season 2 if it’s going to be a rehash of the nightmares endured in Season 1.

Oh god, HALO: Spartan Ops. You couldn’t pay me to play that. An entire game devoted to bad stories and poor gameplay.

What would be better, HALO: Spartan Ops or Halo DS? Yes. Halo on the DS.
