Season 2 Battle Pass Question

Something was on my mind in regards to the Season 2 Battle Pass. Since it was announced that the Lone Wolf and Fracture armor cores are “free” in Season 2, does anyone think the upcoming battle pass will have an armor core of its own similar to how Season 1’s had the Mark V (B)?

I hope not. I personally think there could be way more customization options, just for the Mark V core alone.

If I understand that right, with season 2 we will already have 5 armor cores. And still no word on cross core customization.

There is a lot of cool stuff we have for the Mark VII core and it would be cool to add these things to the Mark V core. Visors or armor coatings for example.

I don’t get the point of 5 different cores (or 5 different characters, however you see it).

It is having its own armor core. Something newly designed that we haven’t seen before. I was expecting the Mark IV or Spartan Laurette Agryna’s armor core, but instead we got the Iron Eagle fractures and the new armor.

My guess as to the name of this new armor?
HEADHUNTER
Since we see Two Spartans in the promo image and Headhunter teams tended to be deep behind enemy lines with little-to-no chance of returning, hence the name “Lone Wolves”.

I thought they said it was called the “Lone wolves” core?

That’s the lone wolf armor core you’re referring to which they said was going to be free.

Joy, another armor core with little to no customization unless you pay and even then there isn’t a lot unless you you just won the lottery and have a hole in your pocket

This is why I am not even going back when season 2 drops. Why would I work for armor that I cant customize with other ones I have already earned. Why would I want to leave everythjng ive earned just to get a whole new one?

Stuff will be still dropping for the Mark VII and the Mark V Bravo during Season 2, both in the pass and in the shop.

For example, the War Master, Enforcer, Celox, and EOD helmets for the Mark VII. And as for the Mark V Bravo, we will be receiving the Mark V, JFO, CQC, and CQB stuff. And that is just the helmets that we currently know of thus far.

There is a lot more you can see in leaks. So far Halopedia has a few of them available for viewing -

The Armor Core isn’t called Lone Wolf, the Season is called The Lone Wolves because it is in reference to Spartans Sigrid Eklund and Hieu Dinh who make up “The Lone Wolves” and will be featured in a story cinematic alongside Spartan Laurette Agryna.

And yes, it will be nice that the armor core is free. Though I am surprised that they aren’t yet giving us Spartan Agryna’s armor core, since it is already in game and since it is being used by her bot in the tutorial match, it is clearly fitted for playermodel use.

It is specifically a Lone Wolves-themed Armor Core.

Just like how Fractures Tenrai’s Armor Core is called Yoroi but it is a Samurai-themed Armor Core.

So you take your information from a fan-run website instead of a post from Joseph Staten?

I highly doubt that they will actually call the Armor Core “Lone Wolves” and then have a duo team with the same name.

The Season Name is Lone Wolves. We don’t see the Mark V Bravo armor being called “Noble” just because the first season was focused on Reach.

More than likely, since the Lone Wolves are an elite duo of Spartans, this armor core is likely to be specifically made for Spartan Headhunter teams, and thus would likely be called “Headhunter”.

Why?
Lone Wolf would be the name of the armor core btw, not Lone Wolves. Yorai is not Yorais

And yet you are using the same logic to figure out the name for the new armor core that you say wouldn’t work for the current season?

You just say that because you imagined up a name for the core and now want to try and convince everyone else that you figured out the name

The Lone Wolves are what the Spartans are referred to in the Article. Quote - “Lone Wolf Spartans are hunters. Trackers. They’re resourceful improvisers, operating deep in enemy territory without resupply or support. They’re fierce, rugged, and prefer to work alone—but they’re still loyal to the Spartan pack. Here’s an early peek at two of these Lone Wolves”.

Master Chief isn’t referred to as a Mark VI because that is the armor he wears.

And your example of Yoroi is strange because the Yoroi is the name of the armor worn by the Samurai of the 343 Clans from the Tenrai Fracture-verse.

That is why I said it is “More than likely”.
I am going based of a chance of likelyhood based on prior knowledge of the Headhunters of Halo and such. But since we are going with a theme of being a “Lone Wolf”, perhaps the Armor could be a Gen-3 reimagining of the Fenrir armor set from Halo 5 Guardians?

I just hope they bring cross core in season 2. They already said they are working on that aspect.

So many parts from the reach armor I want to put on my new MK core. Not really excited for the base Line wolf core they showed. Ut some of those parts… Granted the free ones would look nice on my Spartan MK 7 core

Hopefully we get the selective cross-core treatment. After all, plenty of armor pieces don’t fit in artstyle and would have non-conforming geometry. But I can realistically see Helmets, Visors, Helm Attachments, Shoulders, Gloves, and Knee Guards being almost 100% cross core.

If a thing I think the best medium would be, all Cannon cores can be cross core, while fracture ones stay exclusive to themselves.

But the cannon ones seem to be very interchangable

It does make perfect sense to be honest.

  • Mark IV Gen-1
  • Mark V Gen-1
  • Mark V Bravo Gen-1
  • Mark VI Gen-1
  • Mark VII Gen-1
  • Mark VI Gen-3
  • Mark VII Gen-3
  • Season 2’s Armor Core
  • Laurette Agryna’s Armor Core

These will all hopefully be added to the game sometime down the line with interchangabily. Though when it comes to some parts, it would be difficult. Such as Torso pieces, some Wrist and Utilities, and Knee Guards.

Another thing to is Time is not on 343 side. They say they need more time. I said it’s only going to take 1 good game release to really throw a wrench in their game

And thus Elden Ring has arrived. I have found myself playing this game so much.

That game has also bothered alot of other Game developers, because that is a game that was built completely launched fully, has no microtransactions. And just let’s players play the game.

They don’t guide you as much, they just say hey here’s the game… Now go.

343 stayed that free to play live service was the future and Elden ring showed that a game that is completely built will be more successful.
