I was really hoping season 2 would add an option to turn off crossplay. Being forced to play against PC players is the worst.
Phil Spencer himself said he would never force crossplay, yet here we are with a first party xbox title forcing crossplay.

No such system was ever specified to have been released in Season 2.

So until that point I’m left with the only option being to scroll through my recent players after each match and report/block so I don’t match them anymore. It’s Halo MCC all over again.

It’s not pc players. It’s just people want the integrity back. Crossplay hasn’t really been providing the most consistent experience.
Some say its controller players, some say its mnk players. I think with more time and data the devs can rectify this situation but for now, we’ll just have to deal.
Not challenging the narrative that it’s in the works, just the narrative that it was going to be released during season 2.

I wouldn’t say it’s excessive when it’s the only option we are given at this present time.
You are literally making the report function less valuable with false reports.
How can you report a player for using a different input device. Most of you can’t even tell what input someone is using, it’s borderline impossible in most instances.
There is literally an option to report people solely for “Prefer not to play with them.”
In a persons profile, there is an icon that indicated exactly what device they are using.

Good to know. I’m blocking the player with over 30 kills in BTB because frankly the SBMM is far too broad.

From what I’ve heard from FPS devs, even if PC players are playing controller we also have advantage of higher frame rate over console players. The other good reason I see is prevalence of aimbot/wallhacks.
Is this on Xbox only? I can’t find the option in game or on Halowaypoint.
