Season 1 Weekly Rewards At Launch of Season 2

I’m creating a poll to see where the community stands on this. I know many of us have worked hard to receive the weekly challenges we’ve earned. Even putting up with the fact that challenges do not register. But purely because of the fact that challenges don’t register; I personally wouldn’t mind if 343 gave every weekly reward, from season 1, for free at the start of season 2. Or at least let the weekly challenges of season 2 combine to give you the equivalent from season 1. As in instead of just the season 2 reward, you receive both. I know that neither of these are likely in any way, but I would like to see where the community stands on this. This also extremely hopeful in thinking that 343 will have actually solved any of the problems with the game, by then. This is also hopeful in thinking they’re going to have new content for us instead of just recycling it all, which is a huge possibility. Wow, I’m just making myself sad the more I type :cry:. Anyways, let’s all vote and discuss and see what everyone else thinks on the matter.

I’m in the “If you missed it, you missed it” camp. I’ll be DARNED if I suffered through this whackass challenge system and wasted swaps just for 343 to give this stuff out for free 6 months later. It would make swap totally useless and completely nullify the challenge system (although given its current state, that might be a good thing).

What 343 needs is a complete overhaul, a not-so-new system that they use in MCC. MCC lets you earn season points that can be spent on a pool of items. These items never go away and can be earned at the players’ leisure. Infinite could adopt this by letting players earn 1 each week by completing their challenges + a capstone. Then they can spend this “token” on whatever weekly reward item they want. If their challenges are too hard that week, then they can try again on another week.

Edit: Also MCC has the Exchange which has a weekly rotation of items that can be purchased with points after the season ended if you missed them. So if 343 doesn’t what the items to ALWAYS be available, they can still offer them for season points but at random and unknown times, incentivizing player to earn the items during the season rather than later.

But the important part it that players wouldn’t feel left out for DARING to play a different game one week. This game’s biggest flaw is how it makes you feel like a chump for simply wanting to play Halo.
