All I’m seeing out of this is that 343 Industries needs to hire more people because the amount of “content” in this game is pretty much nothing and their updates that take months are pretty much nothing. Bungie has over 900 employees for their live service Destiny games where I’m pretty sure 343 Industries only has half of that, which are spread out over different games/tv show.
Is Halo Infinite Multiplayer still technically in Beta? If so, when is the final product estimated to release? Season 2 or something?
2025? Maybe 2028? I’ll get back to you once I’ve lived through the heat death of the universe.
I glanced at it and am planning on reading it more in depth tomorrow.
Even that feels like an exaggeration. Based on what we’ve seen so far I’d estimate about 12. Probably more employees, but only about 12 getting actual work done. Good job to those folks.
Exactly what I said. I didn’t say that they didn’t talk about it…but they completely “whiffed” over it with no clear resolution to any of the issues we as players are experiencing. They remain totally clueless other than the fact that these issues exist.

Main takeaway from this blog post was that after 6 months, nothing has been changed.
(Apart from removing Behemoth from ranked playlist due to pro players not being able to control the map as well as the other maps).
So really, season 2 is bringing some minor changes to the sandbox.
2 new maps.
That’s about it.
And at this stage, none of the listed changes have been implemented or added to the game.
It covered a lot more points that I thought it would cover. Surprisingly it was a pretty robust. It’s a step in the right direction, and absolutely needed even if it’s come relatively late. Even if some points basically got pushed aside, the fact they were addressed means they’re on the white board at least.
My favorite though:

We are aware of the sentiment between Controller vs M&K effectiveness and are analyzing the data now to find precise answers. Looking initially at the data we can say that it’s not a black and white issue, as each input method lends benefits to different aspects of the game. This isn’t a simple topic with a clearcut solution, but we do plan on addressing any disparities as best we can, while still playing to the strengths of each input. Look for more on this topic in a future update.
I hope the melee nerf doesn’t impact the Bulldog to a one shot two beat down kill! I’m sure this would have been tested.
I’m glad they have been working on some things - it seems there maybe some improvements for Season 2. If the melee connects are fixed that’ll be a great bonus. Plus (not that I minded) seeing progression per game could work out better.
I’m just pretty sad that this confirms;
they’ll still be one ranked playlist,
we won’t be able to see players going into the match and seeing their perspective rank
it won’t show how many players are in each playlist before you enter specifically.
there was no mentions of more stats in game for you, friends and foes. (Which they have seemed to have been totally ignoring for the past ten years.)
And there’ll still be no contact in ranked play!
But to finish on a high…. Got a love a bit of king of the hill!

This was just more of the same. More of them not understanding anything and more of them “monitoring” things.
I’ll never truly like Halo Infinite because I truly don’t like 343 and their visions for their games. I constantly find myself clashing with their ideas.
Not really, 343 have burned me too many times & I suspect I’ll be dropping Infinite until months, if not years later when it has value.
Good update but they really need to add a server selection, playing on 120ms ping isn’t fun at all
Faster melee for the sword that DOES consume energy and doesn’t lunge would be beneficial too, just like H3. Would make sword clashes more bearable
We also need ranked Lone wolves with the full sandbox and radar especially given the season 2 name.
I was anticipating a ranked FFA playlist for season 2 - lone wolves. But it seems my only hope has been distinguished.
The issue is even deeper than that. A lot of the ‘staff’ that worked on the game were a revolving door of contractors because that’s just how Microsoft and their subsidiaries operate. Many of them are long gone as their contracts ended and they’ve gone on to other contract projects elsewhere. I’d argue that’s a major reason why the game is in the state its in: Too many contractors that had no real ties to the project beyond their contract.
There are some good features coming, but man… why do we have to wait til at least S3 for most of the stuff?!
Things like rejoin have to come asap… I just left a match by accident because I pressed X instead of Y to mute the lobby.
The fact alone that you leave your fireteam in the match is utterly stupid and unnecessary

343 has lost me, but I genuinely hope that Halo Infinite turns into the game that you’ve been waiting for.
