To be honest, things like Attrition are Action Sack-y stuff.
I really can’t stretch my head around 343 not lifting MCC’s composer one to one.

This is what MCC does with its variety of gamemodes:
Action Sack is basically your “Quickplay” playlist of every single wonky game mode in existence.
Weekly, a single mode from Action Sack is singled out as a separate queue.

What Infinite does is this, except in the form of Events spanning only a week and we don’t have a new rotation until another unannounced week. Like, they trying to FOMO game modes as well or what?

Everything looks good except the Mangler nerf. It is already a 3 shot kill! how is the melee supposed to offer any benefit now? The point of the brute/banished weapons with bayonets is that they have a strong melee presence!

“We want to make sure our playlists are healthy”
lol

Even if they think MCC’s composer isn’t “healthy” it isn’t the fault of the composer, it’s the fact you are queueing up players across 5 games. FIVE GAMES. WITH ONE COMPOSER. OF COURSE THE MATCH MAKING IS GONNA BE A LITTLE UNHEALTHY.

Worked for Splitgate when it had a good playerbase, and that was smaller than Infinite’s could be

Mostly seems like good changes are being made. I’m very upset about the Mangler being nerfed. It’s basically closest to being a counter to the sword. With this change the sword will become unstoppable in Fiesta and it’s already vomit inducing how sickeningly outmatched you are against a sword wielder.

I’m glad they focused on the primary fire to buff the Ravager as opposed to the alt-fire. So it should be more than a big plasma pistol. Also the splash damage buff is gonna be great.

I’m only excited about Forge flights. Everything else is on a “we’ll see” notion. And the crossplay part it seems they didn’t understand. People want controllervscontroller/m&kvsm&k. M&K can have ridiculous turning speeds that controller can’t even reach so it isn’t a fair fight.

I am as well.
I feel they addressed most of our concerns.

However…

-Do wish they would have addressed the shop.

-Why not have melee collision ONLY against enemies and NOT team mates… this is my biggest annoyance

-Do need more than 1 map for each of btb and arena… current ones already feel too played out… one more map isnt going to do much… most games including Halo have always had “map packs”… 3 arena maps and 1 btb… ect… i get more are comming but kinda needed more than what we are getting at start of season 2.

It’s a 2shot+melee kill. It was doing a shotgun’s job better. This nerf was needed.

I’m looking forward to the radar edge update. I’m almost wondering if 30m is too far.

Part of that Tweet:
The Live team’s areas such as Customization, Battle Pass, Shop, Events, etc. will get their own blog in the near future

Looking at the last line of the blog post (“Stay tuned for the next blog with the Live team”) - should have included the detail that’s in that Tweet. Shouldn’t expect people to know what that team is responsible for.

Misconception: Mangler didn’t get nerfed, melee as a whole did. I think it’s fine because it’s not only Mangler being hit but every single weapon Melee, meaning we will have less “fast draw” melee confrontations where quick melee twice wins fights.

The sword issue is due to the Pump Shotgun being absent in the game. It was the equal to the sword and matches it in strength, but instead we have the Bulldog which just doesn’t properly counter it.

Also if you’re playing Fiesta, just grab onto the Repulsor. Repulsing a Sword or Hammer user along with chucking a nade has gotten me some cheap kills while they flail at the air.

“We’ll have another Outcomes blog focusing on the Live Team’s areas such as Customization, Shop, Battle Pass, Progression (Challenges), Events, Theater, and Observer Mode in the near future. Be sure to keep an eye out for it here on Halo Waypoint and give it a read when it lands.”

I’m more so looking forward to this one as these are the biggest issues I have with the game.

If we get an actual progression system with it’s own unlocks and they ease up on the shop I might actually give Infinite another chance.

Also get rid of armor cores altogether.

must be hard to use technology is seems for you.

BUT BACK ON TOPIC! Blog was great.

To be honest, this Season 1 update blogpost is particularly underwhelming. Yes, I understand that this is just one half of the total posts that they had “planned.” And yes, I am aware that they’ll be fixing a few bugs.

But do you want to know what’s missing in this post? Information on Forge or Custom Games Browser. Or rather, there’s no real information. No status of testing, no flights, no timeline for release. There’s no mention of certain game modes like Infection and Griffball. There’s also no mention of campaign content. AND no mention of a firefight mode being added.

If anyone’s starting to see where I’m getting at, then I think it should be clear that I find this update unimpressive. I’m also not a big fan of the format. It would have been preferable if we got some of this information in earlier weeks in smaller chunks.

Actually I just remembered. This may seem like a small nitpick, but I remember when 343 claimed they were going add things like weather effects and ray tracing after the launch of campaign. I guess these guys have some kind of amnesia cause there’s no mention of that whatsoever.

And the fact that it takes six whole months to introduce a measly two maps to the game, that’s just sad. They had a better track record with Halo 5: Guardians, just saying.
