Not sure how “elaborating further” could be misconstrued as dishonest in any sense of the action, I supplied you with my intended use of the term and suggested I’d replace it with a better phrase if there is one.
It was a completely honest explanation on my use of the euphemism, you can disagree with my use of it even after elaboration on what I meant, but my integrity is sound and not up for debate.

I 100% agree with you. I haven’t defended 343 once since launch of infinite. This was probably the first time I did but it was a minor one other than that I’ve been very unhappy and unsatisfied with how 343 is handling infinite.

Oh I’m not one of those typical 343 defenders if you misunderstood I’ve been very dissatisfied like you have.
Oh ik they’re the same ppl who said about earning 80% of the items in the game just by playing, in fact I still remember which stream it was they said it too. It was the livestream back in November that launched infinite’s multiplayer to the public. If anyone that is curious that stream is also on youtube.
I don’t expect for everyone to know what 343 has said on their streams which is why I’ll inform people on the forums if 343 have addressed things or not of current issues. If I’m around on the forums.

The point is that when I was sold the pass, and told I would always have access to it, I was told I would get a 4th challenge slot. At no point was I told that it would go away at the end of the season, so I feel duped and I’m not buying season 2 until it’s fixed.

Not having the 4th slot while actively doing progress on the pass one hasn’t bought, makes sense.
But you should definitely have the 4th slot when you have your purchased pass activated.
I suppose that’s what you meant right?

I think you’re remembering wrong. The statement about always having access to the battle pass items, was a separate statement from them announcing the 4th challenge slot.
The 4th challenge slot isn’t a battle pass tier/item.
We were never told we would retain access to the challenge slot. We were never told that we wouldn’t, either. You’re correct about that. But we weren’t explicitly told that we would. It wasn’t something I was expecting to retain access to, personally.
That 4th challenge slot isn’t directly tied to the battle pass. It’s more of a general perk. Because whether you’re leveling the battle pass tiers or just going for the weekly ultimate, it comes in handy. I never really associated it with the battle pass because of that, it was just an extra perk.

Saying that the battle pass “does not expire” implies that everything you get for buying the pass “does not expire.”
Bottom line, it was duplicitous and misdirecting, and made me feel like I shouldn’t continue to support them by buying the next battle pass, just my two cents.

Your PREMIUM was purchased for the duration of SEASON 1 and it expired. You don’t keep PREMIUM perks when you’ve downgraded to a FREE user.
Switching the SEASON that you’re progressing is a PREMIUM perk. The FREE tiers are locked to you because of that. The additional challenge swap and the ability to unlock PREMIUM tiers for the current SEASON are also locked to you.
You can only progress the current SEASON to unlock the current FREE tiers without upgrading.
What you get to keep from your PREMIUM purchase are the items you unlocked via the PREMIUM tiers of the BATTLE PASS during SEASON 1.
You can purchase PREMIUM for the duration of SEASON 2 and reinstate your PREMIUM perks if you want to finish progressing SEASON 1 or make use of the additional challenge slot.

It wasn’t duplicitous at all, or misleading. It was just a vague and incomplete explanation. Nobody was ever promised anything that wasn’t delivered. Nobody was duped.
You can buy Premium, play for free or uninstall and never look back if you feel that strongly about it.
If you don’t want to continue to support them, that’s your right. Nobody is holding you at gunpoint and forcing you to.
I personally don’t want to spend any more money, knowing that 343 won’t use it in any way that actually benefits the fans. It’s not going to result in us getting what we want.
I don’t think anybody wants to buy Premium, or store items just so that it can result in more store items on a more frequent basis or more seasons of the Battle Pass that we have to buy Premium for all over again. That’s stupid.
We, the fans, are stuck.
If we keep playing it, watching it and spending money on it then they have 0 motivation to change their direction.
If we stop, then who’s to say they don’t just call the time of death for Halo? There’s no guarantee that their reaction to the fans jumping ship and seeing their player base hit 0 will be to correct their course.
We either keep hoping they will and keep supporting Halo despite it benefiting 343. Or we take a stand, and risk losing Halo all together. Forever.
I personally think Infinite has the potential to be the next Halo 3. It could bring us the Halo 3 days of this generation. Just not with the direction they’re currently headed.
I’d rather not see Halo as a whole die for good in the span of 1 or 2 years when it’s been a staple and given me fond memories for 20. All because of some corporate greed, and management that will replace devs like they’re inexpensive car parts.
I’ll keep supporting Halo and just hope a miracle happens internally at 343.

First of all, the title is misleading. The free content isn’t removed. It’s just no longer free. The content is there.
It’s already a treat you’re able to progress a past season after it’s already over. I don’t know any other Battle pass game that does this. Now you want the best of both worlds and get what was available as free during the season after the season is over.
If you’re buying season 1 battle pass now, why does it even matter? You’re getting all the content anyways.
Additionally, this will only be an issue with Season 1 as every season going forward will have your 1000 credits returned.
Edit: Anyone who says i missed the point has missed the point themselves.

By this, do you mean that each season going forward will offer credit rewards as tiers similar to other games? So you can more or less buy Premium once, and then earn the credits via the tiers and pay for Premium next season for “free” or close to it.
I’m assuming that you only unlock the tiers offering credits as a reward if you’re already upgraded, if this is going to be the case like it other games.

Now that’s a step in the right direction.
They should also add a secondary currency (which they might have already based on the Season 2 tiers) for people to be able to buy store items for time invested.
It should be something like 10 tiers out of the pass reward you 100cr and say 250 (more, because it’s worth less than cr) of what ever the second currency is called. And the store should have items listed for say 300cr, on coatings, and say 750 of what ever the other currencry is called as an alternative way to buy them.
And have that as a base.
100cr = 250 of the second currency in both the pass and the store.

Dude, the problem is the free track is being meshed together with the premium track.
For people who didn’t buy, they’re now forced to buy.
Once something is free, you don’t add a price tag.
