Im still finding myself on American servers against opponents with infinite health, teleportation abilities, 4sk magnums and 3sk brs. On top of that I keep getting dc’s which has resulted in a ban. Why can’t we just have selectable servers or region lock?
I am in the USA. I am giving the focused search another week as I believe more people would upload the update this weekend. So far it has taken an average of 5 games for me before it seems to balance.
I’m from Germany and matchmaking wasn’t bad before, but since the last update it improved. I like the focused setting, for me it does what it’s supposed to.
It is by no means useless.
The preference system has literally brought me back to play arena again, the matches I have got by using the “focused” option have been so smooth, that I could skate on them. Every shot connects when they should and my grenades leave my hand instantly. I have not enjoyed H5 in ages as much as I’m doing now.
Not to sound like a Tryhard but I found matchmaking in Arena too easy, focused gives me a challenge as it is people at my skill level so I no longer go 20-5 in Slayer ruining the game for the other team.
While server selection would of been ideal. This search preference isn’t bad. Not perfect but maybe a step in the right direction. Remember things like this never have been 343s strong suit…
The preferences work for me. I’m not getting any laggy games anymore.
I haven’t played since before the update. This update kind of disappointed me so I don’t even have it downloaded yet. I might take some time off. But it’s interesting to read your guys opinions on this matter.
So what if a person with a bad connection searches in focused?
Region lock would work better. Still sometimes i have to play with americans.
Ok. I’m a casual Diamond player. After the update it doesn’t matter which “Preference” I choose, the lobbies are always full of party chat tryhards, and rage quitters. I constantly get teamed up with random platinums in a party chat. Or I get ranked against Onyx tryhards. It’s all random luck. Just rank me at Gold if it’s gonna be this sweaty and aggravating at this level. (I understand people want to win, but when games are going 25-50, 19-50, 30-50…obviously teams aren’t getting matched up properly. I feel like I’m scrimming against pro’s half the time.
