The only gametype I really enjoy in COD is Search & Destroy. Where there is a team trying to plant a bomb, one team defending the bomb plant, and everyone gets 1 life per round (out of 7 rounds).
I think Halo 4 should play around with a 1 life gametype. The games could be played on larger maps, with selective vehicles, power weapons strewn about, and lots of cover.
Not only is it a change of pace for Halo gameplay, but it is also on the edge of your seat thrilling gameplay. Teamwork communication is a must and could turn into a very competitive gametype.
There would be a first to 3 round wins system implemented. Also there could be two different possible bomb sites that the enemy is able to plant at. Best for a 6v6 size lobby but could still be played at 4v4. 343 could even put some more cool Halo tweaks to it. Certain weapons could be disabled as well, that way someone who picks up rockets will not devastate an entire team.
It could even fit into the Halo War games narrative. Spartans only have one life when they go into real battle, so this could be a training exercise to focus on the importance of survival and execution.
