Sean W's New Vid Dropped and evidences that The Dev's Lied

But joooooooooooker.

You read that in his voice didn’t you?

On topic.
Sean W, to me, seems like he plays both sides for views instead of saying his own thoughts. Plus I pretty sure he rips off the stuff we post on here and on reddit and makes it sound like he solved the case on his own. I’m not giving him anymore clicks.

Pretty sure that comment was about the Battle Pass and nothing else.

If I promise to be at your house by 9 pm and I’m in a car accident and don’t make it, I wasn’t lying to you.

Umm… No, the comment I replied to specifically mentioned splitting multiplayer from the game and adding a store. It was not just about the battle pass. Did you read the right comment?

Sorry. Forum is buggy and did not show that you were replying to anyone. I thought you were bringing up something 343i lied about.

Yeah, I don’t understand what caused a post to show as a reply or not myself :woman_shrugging:

It does feel like lying though when they say they aren’t going to introduce FOMO and the weekly ultimates, store, and Events are all encourage FOMO. I mean, maybe at the time they didn’t know how they game would end up, but at the very least it has me doubt their intentions.

Personally the only things that I read or heard them say about fomo was always in the context of the BP. That info was dumped in a short vidoc where they also discussed event armor, so I can see how the confusion about fomo or no fomo comes from.

We don’t need to go look up some youtuber to know they lied. Their lies are memorialized in the Waypoint archives over at Halopedia.

Specifically the December 2020 edition of Inside Infinite.

I am not spending anymore money until they actually address our concerns and stop just saying give us time and charging us $20 for some garbage and reselling us the same colors. Garbage. So frustrating because this COULD be the best game in a long time from Halo. So far its a crash and burn. Lying to us for our money is super dissapointing. Even MORE Dissapointing that our so called community managers aint saying BLAM about the blatant lies.

At this point people shouldn’t even have Infinite installed. Ignoring the store won’t solve the problem, but plummeting the population numbers will be a wake up call.

The fact the Forum hasn’t been closed yet after we are actively calling the Dev’s liars kinda proves that we aren’t making anything up or are being toxic about the whole situation.

Its 343 what did anyone expect?

they have made 3 main Halo games, 4/5 might as well have been the same game, universally hated for its direction and story, Halo infinite is better but not by much, the story is OK and thats about it but it is basically what they have been trying to do with b 4/5 in regard to the cortana BS, you still have to have a basic knowledge of what’s going on in the extended universe by trying to fit stories that are not in game into the game, they royally screwed up the MCC and drag Halo through the mud constantly for a company that was made solely to continue Halo they have been doing such a piss poor job for years now im surprised that anyone is even shocked by their decisions at this point.

it’s going to take years for Infinite to be in good spot and even then it will be the bare minimum dragged out. i think its safe to assume that the glory days of Halo are done, It was a wild ride from CE to Reach but Halo being under 343 is equivalent of some vultures picking at a corpse.

Halo is dead.

This is the perfect headline for how I feel about the game.

Content stuff aside…oh and not having my own real custom Spartan, instead I have one that looks like I reached a certain level (great phrasing in the article) The game play to me is dull.

No not because I think it doesn’t feel like a Halo game, but because of the weapon changes, the same maps, and for some reason my own play style. I said it during the flights that the aiming felt more like a CoD game, more erratic and way more precision oriented. Maybe that is just me and my lack of Halo play in the recent years. Funny side note I went back to look at my Rank in Halo 5 and I was Diamond…Was not expecting to see that.

The shotgun change really dulls the fights down. You used to feel so powerful yet vulnerable. Now the shotgun makes you wish you had an Assault rifle or a Mangler. Sure it has range, but even at range it takes 3-5 shots to kill your enemy. Forget about fighting a sword player…you have no defense with the current shotgun.

The good ole days of just firing up Halo for the fun of it seem to have passed…multiple reasons why but the honest truth is that when a company pulls this monetization scheme the 343i has, it leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths and they will look elsewhere for fun and for a game that is not trying to take advantage of them. It has really become a strained relationship.

I would say money speaks louder than player population.

For instance, a game sells 3 million copies, but people stop playing, it is still considered a success and the publisher will want a sequel. If that player drop off turns into sales drop off, then you have a good wake up call.

Unfortunately though because of microtransactions, for every person that uninstalls and or ignores the store and battle pass, there is one person buying double or even triple to make up for what the other person was not buying.

But if I hire a plumber for $60 and he doesn’t show up…
The point here was the ‘false advertising’.

I think a drop in player base will lead to a drop in people purchasing. After all, since there is no work out into unlocking the things people purchase, why would they buy if no one is playing the game? Part of dressing up is showing off, so without someone to show off to, and without having to work for the items, what’s the point? They gonna show off to the bots in bot Bootcamp?

I love Sean W’s videos, I don’t always agree with him but he’s always consise and honest.

Something I wish he really emphasized in that video was that the blog post said “some unique Multiplayer cosmetics are rewarded for various accomplishments within the campaign”. The only way to get cosmetics in campaign is armor lockers, so, not exactly “various ways”, and I don’t think anybody considers walking up to an easy-to-spot collectible marked on the map and pushing a button to be an “accomplishment” of any kind. Ffs even MCC gave you nameplates and avatars for actual campaign accomplishments.

It’s even easier than spotting them, considering they have map markers telling you exactly where the lockers are and what they unlock.

That’s absolute nonsense. They don’t need regular people buying things, the whales do that, and they aren’t going anywhere. If people stop showing up to play, and getting a match becomes difficult, THAT speaks loudly. To 343, free players are just warm bodies in the Sandbox for :whale2: to play with.

Eh the movement was good in 5 what ruined it for me was odd armor designs and them being locked behind loot crates which had the pool padded with weapons.

You didn’t hire a plumber, you asked him to come by and fix your pipes for free and if he has any nice looking faucets you would be willing to buy them
