SEAN W says what's on my mind

Honestly this game has me considering buying Pokemon Arceus and making that my main playable game lol

That actually has a better looking open world than Halo Infinite’s campaign

It used to be that directors and team leads for videogames had a hard time exercising self-control when making content and functionality for a videogame… Not struggling to meet the bare minimum when time and funding is not an issue.

I’m just happy I didnt get an xbox x and a new tv just for infinite.
This game needs to cook another year

Can anybody tell me why 343 doesnt care about halo ? Please a dev in disguise if you see this try answer , I dont understand why microsoft doesnt licence it out to another company passionate about halo and proud to make one of the best game franchises of all time? I dont think I’ve seen one thing in halo infinate that screams passion and a love letter to the fans , I just dont understand why theirs no passion or anything ?

Stupid microsoft pishing the launch

Same. I love driving around in my car aimlessly exploring as much as the next person, but sometimes, it’s best to have a road map. We need a road map

Ok now, they do. I think they really do. I think there’s just been some mistakes made by higher ups that have squandered some of the passion put forward by the employees. A lot of this stuff looks like they really love Halo to me. But that’s just me

Anyone expecting news before next week are 100% going to be disappointed. “Holidays” in the tech industry aren’t over until the end of this week.

The studio is probably only 1/2 working this week, with a ton of people still on pto.

Based off the volume of hotfuxez we got between launch and holidays, I think 343 wil be cranking out stuff for us at a good volume once we’re closer to the end of the month.

While the video hits a lot of good points, I feel it misses the mark.

It’s not that there isn’t a plan, it’s that the plan wasn’t good enough. That the package they had ready to go at launch, and post launch, has been rejected by the playerbase.

This has obviously caused them to re-prioritize what is important. And at the moment, there is a mountain of things to fix. Players want more maps, more cosmetics, better melee registration, fix desync, they have an issue with BTB, complete challenge system/progression and reward rework, etc. etc. etc. ALL of this stuff is far more important then any silly roadmap they had.

Roadmaps are only valid when everything is already working well. If 343 released a roadmap, the community would have already rejected it.

The other issue is that from my understanding 343 is likely still on break. And will likely not return to full capacity until next week at the earliest.

With all that said, it is completely tone deaf to keep us waiting. Even if its bad news, we deserve to hear what is going on.

If I had to take a guess, what is currently going on is a massive re-structure of priorities, and trying to find a way to make things right as fast as possible. While also not effecting the eventual launch of Forge and co-op… and likely trying to find ways to speed those launches up.

Exactly. It’s like the youtuber saw all the pieces and failed to put the puzzle together.

Why would anybody want or expect a roadmap for a game that clearly needs a lot of work as is?

I don’t want to see a roadmap until we have a stable game and forecasting content becomes reliable.

My honest guess is we will see relatively quick changes in the next few weeks to address lobby and bug issues. And hopefully get a few new maps. But I also feel like we won’t see the game be where we would like it to until the end of the season.

Rn just feel a lack of identity with my spartan I gotta wait for my favorite Mark V armor pieces to be sold on the market at some point i only got kats helmet for my spartan set so far and the lack of femine features on my spartan kinda throws me off since I played from halo reach to halo infinite like only thing changes is my waist and it’s really small you wouldn’t be able to tell I’m a girl unless you hear my voice but even then which spartan around you spoke dont know they all look the same

Dude, there are bigger, better, more content having games that have been developed in less time, inCLUDING SOME OF THE OTHER HALOS. ON TIGHTER BUDGETS.
7 YEARS?
You shouldn’t defend them, no one should.

someone a little touchy lol

So basically they still don’t have a road map in the end lol? Basically, the same thing he said. Whether it’s because they didn’t plan enough cause they couldn’t develop fast enough, or they had to scrap because they went with a stupid armor and content system doesn’t matter. They still got nothing to show lol

Uh that’s a really irrelevant statement. The whole point of this forum is to hear other peoples opinions or ideas. Just because one person on here has 2 followers or one has millions on YouTube doesn’t change anything, you chose to come to this specific thread and make that weird comment.

Not really, it’s just way too many people use streamers to express an option they could easily do themselves.

Yeah, I’d say Sean’s take that they didn’t have a plan was a little…optimistic. It would be way worse if this was their plan and it just…floundered

On the plus side, Halo is too big to let fail, so it won’t go the way of Anthem. Or will it?
