Thanks! I like yours too!

Oh great, another book that has next to nothing to do with the Halo games as of right now.

But…it’s the Forerunner saga…

If you look at the description for the book, it mentions the “Ur-Didact”. Ur is a german prefix meaning “original or primitive”. Food for thought.

Oh hi there!

But it does…as do the others. These recent books hold connections to Halo 4, and the future of the franchise.

I was wondering what that meant because I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen that been used before now. Interesting. Perhaps we’ll see the Didacts referenced differently now - or soon.

Because all the books in the past had major impact on the games, right?

Even thought the big floating ball from the e3 demo is on the cover? (above the bear in greg’s name) I’m sure this has lots to do with halo 4…

It has connections to halo 4?
What will happen there will have an impact on the universe a hundred thousand years later.

The cover art looks awesome! Can’t wait to read it!

You see how How Halo 4 is going to concentrate a lot more on the Forerunner? Well, information about their society, characters that were introduced, events that took place, the various revelations featured throughout - and so on - will all feed into the new trilogy at some point. Though you don’t need to read the books to make sense of the game, things will resonate more with you if you have. Certain events that take place then, will effect now. Primordium’s conclusion, especially, is proof of their connections to the game. Perhaps the third book will follow in the fotsteps of the second, and follow past and current timelines.

No, they’ve derailed into a completely irrelevant saga and are only now attempting to bridge the gap using Halo 4.

These are directly related to Halo 4-6. This is about the Forerunners as well as the next game trilogy.

How is the Forerunner saga completely irrelevant? We’re getting a look at Forerunner society and the Forerunner-Flood war that lead to the activation of the Halo array. Beyond that, it will have connections to Halo 4 and the reclaimer trilogy. Naturally those connection won’t be clear until all the puzzle pieces are laid out.

You can’t be more wrong.

Plus if that were true, the saga is still an amazing read. That’s why I’m reading them, they’re very good books.

I have a feeling there may be some conflict between the Ur-Didact (Original Didact) and Bornstellar Didact. Maybe the Librarian finds our that her original husband is still alive, and goes for him instead of Bornstellar, but Bornstellar loves the Librarian.

Yup. Couldn’t have said it any better.

Shhhhh…you shouldn’t talk about things you know nothing about.
