Scuf Infinity 1 vs Controller Elite

I’m going to buy a new professional controller, so what’s better between Scuf Infinity or Elite Controller? Explain your reason.
Don’t reply as a microsoft hater or scuf hater. I hope for impartially and objectively reflections.

Elite gives you more options with the paddles but can be hard to learn at first use. Scuf is only really there to appease the players who can’t afford the elite. If I was unable to afford the Elite and had the option to buy the Scu, I’d just use the regular controller. Go big or go home.

Both are great its a hard pick.

I haven’t used either but I just read about it. Looks like the elite is a lot easier to use and customize. The infinity requires adding on extra features and ends up costing more and is harder to customize.

Interestingly, I posed the same question to some friends recently. Almost all of them said Elite was the way to go.
I personally haven’t tried either so I’m trying to get as much info as I can before I purchase.

I recently bought an Elite, and I’m loving it. I’ve never previously owned a Scuf controller. But some quick research before my purchase informed me that the Elite was a lot more user friendly and out of the box ready.

From what I have heard, the thumb sticks are better on the Elite due to their interchangeability.

I haven’t used an infinity but I did buy the Scuff Wired Hybrid for the 360 and PC which I used extensively for both. I also own an xbox elite controller. To break it down, for the options that you have with the elite it is far superior to the infinity. The base model infinity starts at around 130$ but as soon as you try to change out the sticks or make any modifications to the infinity the price will go up fast! If you customize an infinity to have some of the options of the elite you will EASILY be looking at spending $200+ dollars in fact my scuff hybrid cost me $200. Plus the location of the paddles on the bottom of the scuff aren’t the best. The two outer paddles are fine, but the inner paddles were awkward to use, the elite controller paddles are better but still not great. Again the upper ones are fine but the lower ones don’t leave much room for your pinky fingers to grip the controller. The advantage of the Elite controller is that you can easily remove and even re-arrange the paddles with no tools required, my scuff hybrid doesn’t have an option to remove the paddles but I think the infinity does with the use of a tool.

The other thing I wanted to say is that the customer service for Scuff is absolutley terrible! I know microsoft isn’t great either but my scuff controller after using for only 90 days started having a problem with the wire where it attached to the controller. I sent it back about a month after that because it got progressively worse and became unusable. First off it took them over a month before they even looked at it, and then never contacted me or even attempt to contact me once it was repaired. When after multiple attempts they finally located my controller they tried to say it was my fault because I didn’t pay them. How can I pay someone who doesn’t let me know what I owe them or that my controller is even repaired at all? On top of that I asked them to swap out the left thumbstick to match the right one and they totally ignored that request, but honestly after they had my controller for a total of FOUR months I was just happy to get it back.

With the options that the Elite controller has for the price it’s just a better controller. Trust me on this one, even with the terrible customer service if I truly thought the scuff was better I would tell you just that but it’s not.

I am always looking for the best controller to use for gaming, I am 37 and have been gaming since I was 4 playing Atari with my sister. Money wise I would pay $400 dollars for a controller that was laid out the way I envision one and I even helped crowdfund a PC gaming controller called the Grifta which I suggest you check out some time. I hope this helps!

Elite all the way
