Hey forgers,
Does anyone have any sort of work around to manage some sort of movement and or transformation of objects that are static?
I’ve thought to myself that perhaps I can make a loophole with brain scripts to get a dynamic object to move/transform a static object but I am unsure currently.
I want to know If I am wasting my time trying to be creative and create original pieces such as doors. (I’ve posted an image of the one I created that I wish to script over on the ForgeHub Discord channel under forge-help)
It’d look pretty lame to have a massive object or tons of tiny glued dynamic objects together that don’t make for good looking designs just to make doors and such move in intricate ways… or even basic ways. I’ll be honest, the door selection in this forge is very limited and not nice looking in my opinion.
I am trying to make a killer map filled with my own creations but I am stumped on one of my very first creations and wouldn’t hesitate to spend sixty hours on each if I must just to get it to work for players to have a great experience.
Please help with any knowledge you might have to offer! It’d be great to even be told by a dev on why this cannot work and won’t be changed. For peace of mind at the very least so I can accept it and move on. I’m going nuts here lol. I have my own speculation on why it is not possible to script static objects as I believe it would be too much load on the hardware?
Regardless… If I can get a work around, I want it! If I can’t, I need to know for sure it’s not possible to save me a lifetime of heartache ![]()
Thank you!
