Scripting in Halo 5 looks good.

Here is an example.

Basically it looks like any object can have scripting added to it and that scripting is in the form of a simple yet highly versatile X, Y, and Z coordinate system.

The scripts can stack to so one could be to move left and right while another can be for moving up and down and everything in between. I don’t know how far and how fast the objects move but even so, if they can move even halfway across the map, you could create moving platforms. I am simply excited to start forging next week and will likely be able to make the maps I have been thinking of since Halo 3.

Yes, the ability to have objects move is absolutely awesome. I’ve been designing a map where I was thinking of having objects despawn/respawn elsewhere for a certain effect, but now I just make it move!

Plus, I can imagine this would be great to make puzzles and stuff too.

Could we make entire bases that move 360 degrees at a continuous speed the whole game? That would be interesting. Definitely have to take the entrances into account when you are trying to run a flag back to your base and chasing the entrance around in a circle.

Looks like a basic enough trigger/effect system that anyone could learn.

yea I love scripting, glad to see it’s in Halo

Add a turning bridge in the middle to this and it would be even better, some great tactical options yeah?

that would be funny as -yoink- to watch the enemy teams carrier chase the base
