Went into ranked 2v2s hoping to have a good time. What ensued was 2 Yapyap players turtling in their home base the entire game. They had a shield and cloaking gen, and for troops they had a scarab, reavers, and blisterbacks. They sat inside the shield for 1 hour and 40 minutes while i tried to bust open the base. The few times i did manage to do it they just popped Please dont shoot me and every leader power like the cowards they were. My teammate was useless and barely did anything. Eventualy i had to quit due to things i had to do in real life. So my question is: Why is the sh*t allowed? Why isnt there a hero limit for 1 team? Why do people who do this think theyre good?
That sounds pretty tedious actually. I’ve often wondered what would happen if you didnt bother to attack people turtling like this. I mean just take map control, tech up and wait out of sight of their base. Maybe they’d get bored and actually move their army.
Think 2 yaps is annoying, try 3. Yap can literally synchronize their timing and never kill a base because of it.

The nice thing is yap is pretty horrendous before he gets to that point so normally you can just beat him earlier on.
Lol never come across this strategy, my advice would be air and a few detect units, maybe message your team if about your strategy if their just turtling in their base. But for them to have that means that you took way to long to put pressure on them. The weakness is too focus on their base not the units if they only one base

Dont ever underestimate Yaps ability to pressure and defend.
For me and my sqaud personally this has never been an issue. We do remain aware of yap yap as a distraction type leader, but his unique units arnt very powerful compared to other leaders, and his leader powers are more annoying then they are OP. This kinda reminds me off matches in the HW 1 map Terminal Moraine, you could jus hold an edge base endlessly if you defend it properly. You cant beat the army, only the base, and it was the only way to “win”. If you cooperate with your team mate and 2v1 each base “Not the armies” you have a good chance of eliminating them

I dont normally disagree with Pieman but Yaps is actually a very scary leader if they know what they are doing. Unless you got Spartans or playing Kinsano, Yap has a good fighting chance.
