So that means if we request the Flood to return, we are indirectly demanding the addition of Precursors.
The Flood originated from defected Precursor DNA, which is cool. But it would be cool to see actual Precursors.

I’d rather that the Precursors remain mysterious. The Forerunners used to be mysterious and enigmatic, but now they are not, or not as much as they used to be. I feel that there should be one ancient alien that should remain anonymous.

Yes! I would love to see the Precursors in their ‘transsentient’ form (because, technically, the flood is the Precursors). It would be crazy to see how 343i’s writing and art teams imagine them. More Forerunners would be cool too, instead of Prometheans. I still think the Didact’s defeat in Halo 4 was extremely anti climactic.

I have a feeling that the next game will take care of Cortana and the created storyline, and the last couple of games in the Reclaimer saga will bring in more Forerunner stuff, like Bastion.

We already know how the Forerunners look (flat nosed humans) so I want to see if they Precursors look anything like either (if we descend from them, we should)… Plus, I feel Precursors would use kinetic weapons and I really want a power cannon that can shoot blasts of concussive energy without a round…

I feel like the Precursors would be more alien, use the Primordial for an example. Also, I feel like their technology would be more organic. Think the Flood, but not corrupt and shinier.

They can still remain mysterious, just like the Forerunners. Can you tell me what Bastion is? Where the Great Journey went? The true story of the Path Kethona Journy? There’s plenty left that we don’t know about them despite seeing a handful of Forerunner characters. Precursors are even less clear, and we don’t even know if it’s truly a single race, a collective of ascended beings, or what. The appearance of Primordial in the books still explained almost nothing and created more questions, and we don’t know for sure if the Primordial was lying, telling half truths, or what.
