Recently there’s been something new in the Community Updates. Screenshot themes. Basically it’s when the screenshots will be themed around something, but how would someone know the theme?? I actually have a cool screenshot I would like to submit, but I don’t know what theme would be in the next Community Update. So how would someone know? Or would it just be completely random?

Maybe this might explain it. At the end of the screenshot thingy in the Community Update Beach Battle, it said, “haloimages34 did several in the “Objective” theme but I really dig this Oddball one that feels perfectly aligned with the NBA Playoffs.” It said something about an “objective theme”.
I think there’s not a specific theme to follow. If you have a cool screenshot submit it on twitter marking @halo or @unyshek or @ske7ch.

Ah. I don’t believe that there is necessarily a theme for the screenshots. From what he said, I’m guessing that particular individual decided to take several screenshots that all fell into the same sort of category, being objective gametypes such as Oddball, Assault, CTF, etc. So, basically, there isn’t actually a theme that 343 provides. Instead, the ‘photographers’ themselves may make up their own category to submit images from.
Oh. Well I guess I look pretty stupid right now.
There is a forum thread with specific requirements for screenshots, but it’s outdated. Best to just send any good screenshots you have to Ske7ch, Unyshek or Grimbrotherone.
