I’ll admit I haven’t noticed a problem really. I’ve been really enjoying my time with the game.

I’m sure they’d love to see your resume. Maybe you could fix everything for them?? It’s a work in process build that’s 2 months behind current development. You just have to be patient.

My employment is none of your business and I’m leaving feedback. Please stick to the matter at hand.

343: “we really want to use this flight to focus on Feedback and Bugs.”

OP: Now’s my time to belittle them for things I do not like.

Don’t do this.
Don’t be toxic, don’t be ridiculous.

Fill out your feedback, give your opinions. We get it, you don’t like screen shake. Put that in your feedback. I Also think there should be a screen shake option, because it’s a little bit much for me too. But the FPS issue I’m experiencing is way more problematic for me (3090 is running fairly poorly). But Don’t spit acid at the PEOPLE who make the game and TRY to make it for you to enjoy. I think they’ve done a really good job, and this flight is to gather Bugs and feedback, so why not write something the Devs actually want to read and parse through?

Try: “Screen shake is really jarring for me, (List when they happen and which ones you don’t like) I don’t like it much. I’d appreciate a way to reduce or even entirely turn it off.” (I don’t think turning it off is a good idea, as Gameplay tells would drop off a cliff and u wont feel right doing any actions)

It’s not difficult, Torches and pitchforks is not a good way to communicate with others, Game Devs or what have you.

So my thread can be buried and I can be completely ignored? No. This is a concern which involves people with disabilities, I refuse to be subdued about it. I did not break the terms of service for the forums, I read them carefully.

So you’re actually admitting to being vitriolic as a method to get your post looked at? Well then, I’ve nothing more to say as this is unreasonable. I’m going to go back to Dealing with the Dedicated Server error. It’s more enjoyable than engaging with whatever this is.

So do you have anything to say about screenshake or are you just going to keep up with pettiness? It needs to be addressed. People are getting sick.

> The amount of screenshake and headbob in Halo Infinite is laughable, unacceptable and shows a great amount of disrespect to the competitive and motion sickness prone players. I do not understand how this made it into a flight. It’s shameful.
>
> I’ll start with the fact that, even for those of us who don’t get motion sick, it’s excessive and jarring. Online and off. I’m not sure why you would allow this to be streamed, it’s embarrassing how much shake there is, doesn’t add any immersion and for people like me can induce sickness in seconds.
>
> Movement simply feels worse off because of it. Now Microsoft has a pitch in conjunction with 343 for more accessibility I will say if this goes live a lot of us just won’t be able to play, or want to play. The full screen vibrating while shooting was comedically sickening and immersion breaking.
>
> Even with the slider at 0% there’s an excessive amount of screenshake, vibration, and other immersion breaking factors which serve nothing more than to distract competitive players at best, and make some of vomit at worst. If the developers want to focus on making the game accessible to players with disabilities, the ability to remove all screen shake effects needs to be implemented before the public at large plays this game.
>
> What are your experiences with screenshake, have you seen any workarounds? I’d love to preview this game, stress test the servers and provide valuable feedback but this is basic stuff here. It makes me wonder if anyone actually played this build in house before you sent it out to flight.
>
> As for 343: from a design perspective it’s pretty simple, nobody likes to feel like they can’t control their game. This is 101 stuff, and it worries me that it went semi-public. Do better.

There’s a bit of a difference between feedback and flaming over things that you don’t like mate. While Screenshakes can absolutely be an issue with certain audiences, there’s a reason this thing is called the “Tech Flight” rather than a “Beta Test”. The game isn’t even in a beta stage yet for players to play which is why identifying these issues is important to do.

Also if this is a major issue, there’s an entire “report a problem” button on the main flight webpage for pointing out severe issues.

Edit: Also, be aware that Screenshake and other visual effects are not uncommon in Halo at all. From what I’ve seen so far, I would say this is even less than Halo 5’s which has an INSANE amount of motion sickness inducing things. Speaking from a competitive player standpoint, this doesn’t even register on the radar as being a distraction.

You can turn on screen shake buddy

I’ve noticed some frame slowdowns. And especially in academy if I jump and turn my hand is like 5x repeated over and over with some studdering and jarring making sniping a challenge at best and a bit nauseating at worst. In game it seems to be better in multiplayer.

Haven’t noticed any excessive screen shake or bobbing.

I do agree with the screen shaking being way over the top. My mother is one of the people mentioned that simply cannot do motion sickness, 10 secs of her walking into the living room she got dizzy sick to her stomach and had to sit down. This is also with me turning the screen shake option to 0% it isn’t something that impresses me or make me feel “more like a spartan”

Game seems fine to me honestly, but then I don’t get motion sick so wouldn’t notice anything. Yea, if there isn’t one, already then there should be an option to turn off screensake, I will always support the addition of extra options for people.

On a side note, as has been said by others, your posting is coming across very aggressive and there’s really no need for it. Just calmly say you don’t like screen shake and you think there should be more options to reduce it, no need to attack anyone.

I have not noticed very much screen shake at all. Certainly not enough to be upsetting, maybe your experience has been different. You took what could have been a constructive feedback point and were outrageously condescending about it - which is exactly what I pointed out in my first quote. Have you left a ticket in the support site for this issue? Sounds like it’s enough screenshake to make the game difficult to play and I think that necessitates a ticket to the support team.

I’m sorry about this morning I was having a hard time after a long play session that made me very motion sick. This is a positive community, I like that. I think I was sad because I realized if they don’t let us turn off all the shake by launch I do not know if I will be competitive or be able to do the story.
