I’m sure this has been brought up a dozen times but I can’t find the search button on the mobile forum page. I am getting awful screen tearing no matter my vsync or framerate settings in game OR in Nvidia control panel. Only solution is to run borderless window at 99 resolution scale, but when I do this I get an annoying window frame around the edges of the game. Would love to play full screen without tearing, but vsync appears to be malfunctioning. Thanks 343,can’t wait for halo 4 and crossplay
While I have never had an issue with screen tearing, I did have awful stuttering. The only way for me to fix this was to have vsync on AND uncapped frames in the settings.
I know this is not what you are looking for, but I agree that there are issues with the video settings from day one that will hopefully be fixed when they implement the more detailed video settings later in development.

So with VSYNC on or off you are getting severe tearing? Is this happening with just the MCC or are any other games causing the same thing? I don’t get any tearing with MCC personally as I am on a G-SYNC display. Which graphics card are you running? Don’t try tweaking anything in the Nvidia control panel for the MCC, as you could cause the game to be unstable or create issues like what you are currently seeing. Stick with in game settings only until 343 adds in more graphics options in the future. If all else fails and you are running out of options, you could reinstall your GPU drivers. That’s only a last ditch option though.

Hey, I have a gtx 980. I reset the nvidia control panel settings for this game to default. I get pretty bad tearing no matter what my vsync settings are and regardless of if I’m running fullscreen or borderless, and regardless of framerate caps. The only thing that solves it is to set resolution scale to 99 in borderless window.

Is the severe tearing happening with just the MCC or other games as well? What type of display do you have, and what is its refresh rate? A quick solution you could try is making sure that your display cable is connected on both ends correctly and is not loose. I know that sounds weird, but I had an issue a while back that was related to a display cable being loose. Turns out it wasn’t pushed in all the way.
I have a Vizio m558 with a 60hz refresh rate. This is the only game it happens with. Weird thing is when I booted it up today the problem was gone. I still have to run it borderless at 99 resolution scale with vsync off, but now it fills my screen just fine. Weird. Hopefully it doesn’t come back, thanks for your help
