Elite fans have been told in a recent bulletin that there was something to scratch there itch. (No, not a your own personal backscratcher! But that’s cool, too.) By itch, they mean their wanting to play as Elites. I, a Spartan fan, am sad they will no longer be playable. Nevertheless, if this “backscratcher” would turn out to be the Promethean Knight, i wouldn’t mind too much. Would it scratch your itch, or do you need a diffrent method of scratching?
OT: What would you like to see if it would turn out not to be the knights?
I do prefer to play as an Elite but can live without it. I want them in CG and Forge though because machinimas may be hurt if they can’t use Elites in them, only Spartans.

I have to disagree. Only slightly, though. Some might see it as a punch in the face for it to be in the game yet almost never play as it.
I don’t think it’ll be a PromKnight. With talk about a sort of “replacement” for Invasion gametypes, I’m still curious to find out what approach they’ll take to ease this itch. And no nails… please.

Hey. I’m subbed to you on Youtube! Thanks for the OSTs.
OT: I never really played as Elites as I started playing Reach, They kind of become total -Yoinks!- in that game and totally turned me away from them.

I know some people really liked the elites but I can see the game benefitting without them (being online)
the hitboxes wouldn’t be unfair, back of elite head in SWAT and snipez is a good example of this.
they’ll have more customization options available for everyone since they won’t have to make armors and such for the elites.
I’m sure theres more but those are the two main things I see us getting out of not having elites in MP.

Wait this is the same Tridyrium that posts the OST’s on Youtube? I’m subbed to him too!

Invasion was one of my biggest worries. I do have high hopes to see its successor in halo 4, as it is one of the best things to come out of reach, in my opinion. It will be the mother of all backscratchers and every other scratch deducing item will be frowned upon! MUAHAHAHAHAHA…(too much?) Oh and fixed! ^

I don’t really think something like Invasion hinges on the idea of Elites vs. Spartans. Never paid much attention to this aspect of Invasion. Spartan vs. Spartan would work just as well IMO.
I demand total reconstruction of CE Zealots in the H4 campaign!
Let them show this world their eternal prowess! I am certain they will induce more fear than lame Chieftains, roadblock Hunters, and pathetic sword Elites.
And they will be a big incentive to me.
I liked Zealots in Reach but they were too rare and lacked unique traits (other than their Field Marshal leader and the one on TotS).
Zealots in H2 were cast aside for more generic badasses, the Ultras and I have grown weary of seeing white armored damage sponge Elites so often in H2 and Reach.
When I start up the H4 campaign and mp, I want to find Zealots! My CE Goldies! Slayers of Flood and earning their right to rule by endless slaughter. Leaping like bunny rabbits and persistent like hungry ravenous wolves. This is what Requiem needs!
Anti-Flood with style (Zealot) vs. anti-Flood with lethality (Promethean Knight)
My guess would be some Promethean warrior we could play as with stronger shields, faster shield regen., and some exclusive AA’s in an invasion-like gametype, just like the elites in Reach.
Something very similar to the Forerunners themselves.

Aye.

Segregation of Elites wasn’t (that much of) a problem in Reach. I think the few people who’d be angry about it would get over it, especially since the alternative is no Elites at all. :\
