Scrap challenges, throw it out the window

it’s not fun, it’s so boring doing these chores every week. you can tweak them as much as you want. sure it’s challenging and fun but it’s such a drag. i don’t know xbox numbers but the game has lost 90% of the playerbase bc the game is repetitive. the game is lacking major content and features.

Events doesn’t bring players back bc they have to do the challenges which suck the fun out of the game.
There is no way to differ a skilled player vs a noob player. there is nothing to brag about except that you grinded the challenges a while. Halo need to appeal to casual players first, making them play certain gamemodes or play a with a specific weapon over and over and over kills the fun.

For all of Call of Duty’s flaws, they let you progress the Battle Pass no matter what MP mode you play, no matter what weapon you use. You can play as much of whatever you want to still progress.

While I dont agree with your math around how much the player base has left, I agree with your statement on challenges.

They do not foster a fun environment, specifically when it comes to the events which they totally ruin. They need to be based on winning/playing the games. I know that could be hard to achieve, but they need to look at gearing it towards that. Getting x kills with the pistol and etc just turns the games into challenge fests, and isnt fun.

Im good with all the ones that are geared towards the goal of playing/winning(play x games. win x games, get x amount of kills etc.)

Easy Solution they can Implement:

Make XP 70% based on kills/K-D/Assists/Objectives/Medals/Wins

And

Make XP 30% based on Challenges but with Dozens of Challenges to choose from at a time.

Simple solution and fair for everyone.

Otherwise you have some people just focused playing for challenges and not the objective or winning.
