Is anyone else experiencing this? In the last two games I killed three scorpion tanks and my commendations remained the same!

The commendation is for destroying them only while they are occupied. If the driver is in the process of hopping you I don’t think you get credit (Unconfirmed), also the Survivor perk might prevent you from getting it if the driver survives (Also unconfirmed). Or it could be neither and just the system isn’t updating the way it should.
You have to plant a grenade or blow them up with weapons. If you punch them, the kill doesn’t count for some reason…
Did you punch them while hijacking by any chance?
I know you mustn’t punch them… planted grenades. I got the vehicle destroy but the commendation did not change.
And survivor doesn’t matter, not that they survived. I can confirm that it doesn’t matter if they have survivor or not to get vehicle destroyed.
Okay, so now I got 2 scorpion kills! One with a grenade, one with a laser. Only one counted for the commendation…
I think I am getting shorted from time to time, but since it is drifting up, I haven’t done an exhaustive research into why some count and some don’t.
I have seen at least once where I thought I got a Scorpion-Scorpion kill, but film review showed that it was actually an assist - my gunner got the kill. Another time, I made the shot and killed the opposing gunner, but it was a teammate’s grenade that took out the driver and the tank itself a split-second later.
Not sure if they have Survivor, and they don’t die, then it doesn’t count? Not sure…

I did not have trouble before yesterday. I might try later today but I got the vehicle destroyed medals.
I have just finshed this a few days ago and I noticed that if you kill the scorpion from the grave it will not count towards the commendation you have to survire the encounter after it blows up for it to count
Also even if the driver has survivor you will get the kill and it will count towards the commendation as long as you do not die while fighting the scorpion for kills from the grave do not count

Well this is news for me. 50 more to go and 84 flood victories to go. I’m so close but not THAT THAT close where I can get all in one day.
Thanks for the information. It would make sense from what I saw. It’s very frustrating. Hopefully halo 5 will be less buggy.
Maybe it just takes a while to update the commendation, or perhaps you’ve just got a glitchy commendation
