I think it would be interesting if there was a light tank version of the scorpion tank. It could be faster Than the scorpion but have less armor and a less powerful main gun(with a faster reload). It could have a chain gun built into the turret like tanks of old, making it a very effective infantry killer.
I think it’s a cool idea. What does the rest of the community think? Discuss.
I’ve always thought that a sort of ‘Tank Lite’ could work in Halo. Faster, Smaller & More Maneuverable, but obviously with weaker Armour and less powerful weapons. I love the idea.
The rocket hog/gauss hog kind of fill that role. I would like to see a deployable vehicle that moves slowly that has light guns when on the move but when deployed it becomes very powerful but is unable to drive.
Example: Something like the Cobra from Halo Wars, Link
However I would like it to be more of a motor type vehicle.

Cool idea but ppl will complain and it will be removed after a week. We then will wait a year or so before it’s put back in a heavies game type

I don’t think so. The Gauss hog was more of a light anti armor unit/superior anti infantry unit. The Rocket hog was an anti Air unit, it is horrible against armor(Unless they aren’t moving and haven’t shot you dead yet) because you have to stop and fire to make sure that you can do max damage. a light tank would fit in between the scorpion and the gauss hog in terms of firepower; less powerful than an scorpion, but more powerful than the gauss hog. In armor it would be the same, it would take more punishment than any light vehicle and be slightly slower though(Not by much).
The rocket hog is extremely ineffective at taking out the banshee were it only takes 2 gauss shots which have hitscan to take out a banshee anywhere on the map. The gauss hog just all round wrecks everything in it’s path with ease.
Im guessing you want a Scorpion taht isn’t super overpowered and the Wraith can take it, unlike the god Scorp of proevios games…
Well, I’m guessing with this new tank, it’ll actually LOOK like a tank and nota tank/actaul SCorpion hybrid , and it has a single rocket luanher, like the HAlo CE PC Rocket Warthog

Even the Chain hog was better against air than the Rocket hog, which is really sad when you think about it.
I was just watching an old episode of GI Joe and thought the same thing. One thing I’d add to make it more awesome…spots on the back where team mates can hold on similar to a mongoose…only make 2 of them.

How do you mean? Are these seats just for hitching rides? you wouldn’t be able to fight well from them because the tank turret is in your way and would limit both players angles of fire.
I want a souped up Scorpion, which would only be used when fighting giant vehicles like Scarabs.
Halo games rarely give us a fighting chance. Reach almost gave us Scarab piloting but then took it away. Instead, we got a space battle, massive teases, and dropships with no usable chin guns. Very lame.

I’m not comparing it to today’s tanks (depends on the tank you are comparing it to(the leopard 2m4 or the T90)). In halo, the scorpion is classified as a main battle tank. Its not a heavy tank, realistically it would be a medium tank with it’s 90mm cannon and weaker armor. Games are not meant to be 100% realistic either(they are balanced for gameplay, not for realism necessarily).

So you would want the Grizzly then. The upgraded scorpion from halo wars.

The chin gun on the pelican was usable in the mission long night of solace. Plus the scarabs aren’t drivable for a canonical reason, they aren’t vehicles but in fact massive infantry units.
