You melee the tank to death - doesn’t count.
You plant a grenade and blow up the tank - doesn’t count.
I’m guessing the player dies a fraction of a second before the vehicle dies in both cases but what a botched commendation. The same logic used to give ‘assist’ medals would fix the issue.
I does count if you melee or plant a nade,at least it does count for me.
I usually get it with the Spartan Laser or the Sniper Rifle IF I HAVE EXTRA AMMO
It only counts if the player inside is still alive when you destroy the vehicle. Planting a grenade only works if the player in the tank is at full shields, and Meleeing is not a viable option unless you are in the back.
The best way to do this is to blow it up with heavy weapons, preferably the laser.
the BANSHEE is a vehicle yet I destroy it with a sniper rifle & I get a “sniper kill”

the Scorpion & Mantis I have grown tired of pressing X then L2 to plant nade only for a team-mate to hail mary MY kill ffs
At least this commendation is easier to master than the one for destroying enemy-occupied Mongooses.
