First of all I apologize if the section is wrong, this is the first time I use this forum.
Playing Halo: Reach on MCC PC, I noticed that the scoring in campaign stops working towards the end of every mission (probably at the Rally Point Charlie), reporting to each kill an additional score of 0 colored in red, even though it seems to happen only in easy difficulty. I don’t know if this is a thing of og Reach since in easy the score is really low or a bug of this port
Edit: I was playing Sword Base ONI in Normal difficulty and the same thing happened again, so I think it’s independent from what difficulty you choose
Same thing happened to me on pretty much every mission after ONI Sword Base while I was doing a Legendary campaign run
This isn’t a bug. This is intentional. If you take too long during a mission, you will eventually get to a point where you get 0 score for every kill.
I dont think its intentional. I beat par scores by taking my time to not get killed while playing on legendary but no skulls active.
I have had times that it stops adding scores if I’ve died too many times.
It is intentional, but why the rule is added is not clear. Scoring stops after par time x 2 + 10 mins.
Halo 3 scoring was better, it did not stop after any length if time. My favourite way of getting the scores were to put iron on normal and inch my way through the missions, treating the game as a survivor genre.
New scoring system prohibits that, it might be better we given an option to have time multiplier on or off as scoring mode. “On” if we are trying for par time + par score but it goes down to zero, and fixed 1x multipiler where time is not a factor at all.
