Can we please change the voting system for Score Attack? I hate having to go through the rotation 3+ times just to get a specific map and gametype to show up. Like today, the challenge is to get 150 kills on Overlook. That would be fine and dandy, if Overlook actually showed up in the rotation within the first 4 times of going through the list.
Why can’t we just pick a map and a gametype It’s just me playing.

Why did you even bother to respond.
Score attack needs a system where you can choose a gametype/map. Because the Veto system was only used in Halo 3 to start with so people, as a group, was given a choice to skip a map they didn’t want. The more popular map won the decision. But who are you competing with in Score Attack?
Although I agree that an inability to select a specific map may be somewhat frustrating, I believe that this situation does not require an overhaul of the matchmaking system. It would perhaps be most prudent to ensure that every map appears once in the selection cycle, whereas the gametype may be randomised in each instance. Therefore, you are assured of attaining your desired map, albeit not necessarily inclusive of your preferred game variant.

Why would you not prefer a choose-your-own selection instead of the current randomized process?

Because it is not possible to do that in matchmaking. Maybe they could make the gametypes YOU choose show up more often.
It’s not that big of a deal. If you don’t get your map, just quit out.

Please. I dashboard as soon as the last option shows and it isn’t the one I want. No quit ban for me!
My frustration comes from going through the selection process 4 times until I get the map and gametype that I want. Like when I made this thread, I was looking for 2x Score Attack or Fiesta Attack on Overlook so I can do the challenge; I had to go through the process over three times to get one of those combinations.
It’s just wasted time that could easily be avoided.
Yeah, this crap is getting old too. Drop the redundant weapon specific gametypes (FRG, Sniper, etc) that don’t have weapon pickup, add an Arcade Attack (limited lives, unlimited rounds, no time limit), and jack up the number of voting rounds.

But even the idea that someone can get a ban over quitting out of Score Attack is -Yoink-. You’re not harming anyones game play because no one else is around.
I agree with OP. It’s one of the reasons why I haven’t touched FF in months.

I agree. My favorite map/gametype is Gruntpocalypse on Corvette. Since I don’t have teammates, I’ll actually quit out on the game I end up in if I was never given the map/gametype option. I haven’t encountered a time ban from this type of quitting, but that’s probably because I’m only up for about 2 or 4 of these firefight games before I move on.
btw, why not just sign in a guest for FF Doubles and sign it out before the match loads? Full Arcade or Limited yourself. If 343 won’t give us the option in Score Attack, they damn well better not say anything about us doing it that way. Hell, it’s near impossible to rack vehicles in Score Attack/2X because half the weapons that kill can a Banshee kill it in some way that doesn’t actually count for Grounded. I’m so tired of dealing with idiots that shoot at me the whole time or run for the vehicles even though their Grounded is like Iron and they don’t have any intention of actually finishing the commendation.
