Does anyone know how many people/what percentage of people are being included for the newest PC flight. Im yet to be invited to one and not had an email regarding this one so far. I completely understand that not everyone will get a chance, which makes sense. More just curious on what my chances are tbf.

I think they sent it out to 20k people yesterday.
So plenty of people got multiple invites but even more got none? Bad planning 343…
The chances were minimal, no matter what. From what I remember being mentioned just before the first flight, there were a lot of Insiders signing up. So pulling ~50k or so from that pool still meant that everyone had an extremely small chance of specifically being chosen even for this last flight.
My brother and I are anxiously checking our e-mails EVERY SINGLE DAY. It is giving me actual anxiety. If you want me to care about this, you gotta put a carrot at the end of the stick. My forum post on “Am I doing something wrong?” got locked due to “multiple threads on invites” so I thought I’d piss and moan here, since this was the only relevant thread I could find.
Warcraft 3 Reforged beta went live the other day I’m on that now. I’m kinda sick of playing rts for the last decade though, I really want a quality fps on my pc. October has come and gone, canonically the ring already blew up.

For each flight 343 has specific criteria they want to meet and will select users who have opted in based on that criteria. Not everyone is going to be able to get an invite, just one of these things.

Something doesn’t add up, if they wanted to stress-test the servers and the matchmaking, why not let more insiders in? 50k people sounds a bit small when the good multiplayer games on steam regularly get over 100k playing simultaneously.
P.S. haven’t been invited to a single flight, so I’m a little salty about that too.
Hey lads, new to the scene but my opinion with working in other game development dev teams is they’re very simply ironing it out, this is only what, the 3rd cycle of insider testing? Not to mention the light of Halo: MCC is major with PC gamers at the moment.
My take on it is, they’re preparing gradually, keeping it containable so it doesn’t spiral out of control, and for me that’s fine, Dev teams who work like this are really trying to push the best content out for the community and that is what it seems 343 is truly focusing on now, and I think it’s glorious.
Give it time, I know it’s easier said than done, but I know the Devs would appreciate that.

It’s the third cycle of Insider testing, yes, but it’s also the final (known) cycle of testing before release, which means a good number of the folks salty about not being selected to test are being salty at not getting the chance to help out.
I find the salt to be a bit understandable when it’s been previously reported that flight engagement was somewhere in the ballpark of around 60%, give or take, combined with the knowledge that there are some folks out there that got invites and actively chose not to use them just to flex on everyone else.
So overall, it’s less salt about the devs doing what they need to, and more about how we’ve got a significant chunk of players fully ready and willing to help out, but the randomized selection among eligible players resulting in the above happening, which does nothing to improve the game or help the devs out.

No worries i am sure there are a few more flights going to happen this is imo not a final flight situation at this moment in time

I wasn’t invited at all, and i think that’s okay. Having only played Halo CE and 2, i’m not really much sad. Though i do hope i get invited for the CE flight, i don’t see anything that would go against me being invited XD aside for RNG and not my crappy pc or knowledge of the game.

Whether or not we get to play the flight, Release date may be December or January. Apparently the game feels finished already.

That’s fantastic! I mean if the game is close to being ready and no longer requires testing I can see people will be upset they couldn’t test, but at least we’ll know that we get the full game soon!

Plus, it has to be at least just before mid to early december cuz they’ll wanna really roll it out for Christmas!
