Scheduled Reach Maintenance - 9.26

It’s your (least!) favorite time… that’s right, it’s time for the never convenient but always necessary scheduled Reach maintenance. Both stats and matchmaking may be impacted.

As always, thank you for your patience while we complete this work.

May I ask how long this approximately takes?

i was just about to complete a challenge :frowning:

Curious about this as well, I was just about to hop on and do a couple challenges.

Cheers

Since this is a “scheduled” maintenance, where was the prior notification? I know I didn’t receive any notice explaining that I could not play Reach online at this time.

While you guys are “maintaining”. Bring back Doubles and ban the AFKers please! We want lag free Firefight!

This IS your notification.

I believe it would be more appropriate for said notification to be made sooner, say a day or two in advance. Since this is a “scheduled” update, I would not see the problem in doing so, as it is expected thus meaning we can be warned a bit sooner than just a few minutes.

Yes it would be nice to know how long this will take. After Mondays choas that kept kicking me from games whilst the challenges where being changed, I was kinda hoping it would be the end of an unsettled day.

Agreed. It’s not a notification if it’s happening right now. That’s like warning someone that jumping from a skyscraper will kill them as they’re falling.

Everything seems to be fine now for me. Good job it wasn’t too long. Perhaps if I am to answer my own question from before, these scheduled updates take no more than half an hour at most?

It all depends, but usually when they label it AM or PM, then it will be done before it switches between either.

As Ranebow Dash noted, maintenance is complete.

Interested to find out what has changed

I can’t discern any differences myself. Considering it was a quick maintenance, I figure it was just to check if things were running smoothly, and see if they needed to do anything extra. That’s what I’m assuming.
