The server is down at the moment and the same thing just happend to me about 5 min ago. Dont worry it will be back online at some point.

How come when Bungie did maintenance the servers never went down? Yet when 343 do maintenance the servers always go down.

Teh servers are offline! The end is nigh! It made my last match before they went offline go weird: almost everyones emblem turned into a black septagon mid match and their four character tag thingy went blank.
Would this be affecting the BNet site? I can’t access my profile page over there. Damn you! 
My stats are reset… I got demoted from a Major 3 (About 10,000 credits from LT Colonel)

This is temporary. Insanity would ensue if all ranks were reset.

Yes, it’ll be temporary. That happens when there’s a server problem, which is what’s happening right now with the maintenance. Not to worry. When everything is back up and running, you’ll have all of your stuff back.

Marginally impacted? Wrong choice of words here. Next time, please let us know that every aspect of Halo Reach will be unavailable during maintenance.
hey ive just been booted off server, says halo server is currently unavailable. would that have anything to do with maintenance. its currently 16:45 GMT London. dragging out dont you think. totally agree with ht lone wolf, i miss bungie. : /
I was disappointed when I went to play some Matchmaking, but unlike the majority of the people on these forums I’m not going to -Yoink- about it. It’s maintenance! Its for a reason. If it didn’t happen, the servers would be in a terrible state. Stop whining, be mature and just wait.
Keep up the good work 343! (and perhaps make more DLC playlists? :P)
