The weapon to obviously compare the scattershot to is the shotgun. The shotgun shot lands immediately and is almost always a 1-2 shot kill If used correctly. I believe the standard shotgun is common. The scattershot, however, is categorized as rare. And really, the weapon is just trash. Enemy Spartans can literally dodge scattershot shots because the slow fire rate. I only bring this up because 343 recently changed the req level in which certain weapons can be used, should they also lower some weapons on how common/uncommon they are? Because rare for a weapon that not only sucks, but also requires you to camp due to its range should not be categorized at such a level. The whiplash is uncommon, and that weapon would -Yoink- on the scattershot (and many other “rare” weapons) all day.
I have a video somewhere where I shoot a guy with the Loathsome thing (an ultra rare scattershot) multiple times and he doesn’t die. I just delete the weapon when I see them in packs.
It has the range of a H3 mauler to me
Only the legendary scattershot is any good the other two are sellable. Whiplash should be rare at least for how easy it is to get kills.

Scattershots actually hit more accurately if you bounce the shot off a wall or the floor in front of the enemy spartan. Their ricochet can lock onto enemies while firing directly at the enemy will cause the shot to have more spread and miss more of the shots in the round will miss which won’t kill the enemy. Also if you are going to directly shoot someone in front of you using smart scope reduces the spread so as long as your in the range where the reticle is red zoomed in it will be a instant kill from what I have learnt using the scattershot. Also changing the rarity of a weapon won’t change the usefulness of it so you should either talk about wanting to buff it instead 
I’m just saying it’s worthy of being a higher rarity then uncommon for how useful it is.

Agree with OP. Its req level is too high (Blaze of glory which also has energy level 4 is far superior to scattershot) and for one twisted reason has the same rarity as the scorpion, the answer, archlight and wraith ultra. There are also other weapons like the plasma turrent and splinter turrent that needs to become less rare when they are that bad.
I like the Scattershot, I have a good time with it. Bouncing the shots around corners or down stairs is great.

The loathsome thing is even worse and its ultra rare.
I like them they have more range trading for no hitscan but it can be bounced

I have the perfect video for that you can see how I didn’t zoom at first and missed about 1/2 the shots but then I zoomed missed 3 shots and still killed him
Yeah the scattershot doesn’t perform as well as the shotgun at all. It’s not a viable option.

No, it’s because the Scattershot is objectively garbage. If you don’t know that, you don’t play Warzone enough to trash talk.
Scattershot needs work. Standard scattershot is OK. The Didact’s Signet and Loathsome Thing, while rarer, perform even worse. They should all be more powerful

It was an accident, didn’t even notice it when I posted this last night.
Thank heavens it is only 15 kills per commendation level. “Loathsome thing” couldn’t be more of an apt name for that “power” weapon.
