Simple question, would you like to see any scary moments in Halo: 4? Maybe not only scary, but rather creepy or disturbing moments? Discuss!
Personally, I’d love to have scary moments, where your adrenaline is pumping and you just want to run like H*ll, but that’s just me.
I could have sworn I had read somewhere that the covenant were going to be more like…survival horror? Don’t really remember exactly…
Like the Keyes terminal in CEA? The one that made actually scared of the Flood for the first time since I first encountered them?

its very hard to recreate the shock and creepy-ness of Halo 1 with the flood and all that because games were so linear and predictable etc (my opinion) but yeah im sure there will be some dark moments and generally scary enemies on legendary etc etc and maybe a plot twist that leaves us “WTF-ing”

Eh, there’s never been any in Halo before, but I suppose this is a step forward. If they could somehow pull it off with these new enemies.

But I’d be surprised if there weren’t more moments like this. The first time I played through Cortana on Halo 3, I was thoroughly creeped out, with all the noises and such. Not so much now that I know that’s just background noise, but at the time I was certain hundreds of Flood were watching my every move like vultures. It took me two whole days to get through that level because I kept getting lost.
One thing I’d like to see is, in a dark level or something, a bunch of false red dots on your HUD suddenly come swarming over you. Couple this with the background noise like in Halo 3, and I would be legitimately frightened again. Especially if, every now and then, the red dots were real, so you wouldn’t know what to believe…

Remember in Ce when Mastercheif picked up the marines helmet and saw the video something like that please.

Oh, I like the idea of the radar swarming with red dots everywhere, maybe like the Chief goes to investigate somewhere, and Cortana alerts him of a bunch of enemies coming towards him! That’d get anyone’s adrenaline pumping!
