Scarab please :)

Feel like the semi-open world would be perfect for scarab encounters. One issue I thought of is the grapple might make it too easy to board, but if there was some “plasma gooey energy stuff” on the best grapple spots that it can’t stick to there could be small fusion coil like targets you can shoot to deactivate the energy fields for temporary grapple ability, making it even more complex on the ways you choose to go about taking it down. I realize that it would still probably be pretty easy to board with all the new sandbox stuff so maybe it would be cool if when you try to take out the lekgolo it fights back or something. Just brainstorming here, I realize this is probably very low on the priority list.

I expected at some point to see one somewhere considering the Banished in HW2 have scarabs. I also wanted a Halo 1/3 esque mission of escaping in a warthog or other vehicle.

I was straight up expecting a warthog run or something after you beat the final boss and the place starts collapsing. Oh well

Literally a perfect opportunity to recreate those famous Halo levels. Maybe in some DLC in the future tho

I feel like a Scarab would make a good Banished Stronghold encounter, but I don’t think I’d want to see it as a random engagement as that would completely divert your attention or block off a zone. The scarab should be the objective, not a hindrance to the objective. They could make a whole new category, though, of Scarabs to hunt down and take out, each with uniquely crafted engagements (one underground??)

I think they much more enclosed style of scarab the banished have in halo wars 2 may actually lend itself better to this sandbox because you cant just swing up and jump inside. reasonably you would have to fight your way to a hatch or door of some kind and then blast through to the core.

Yeah good point. Perhaps like there could be encounters when you enter brand new dlc areas for the first time.
