If the Didact actually SPOKE.
Hell if he even did something.
Also it could’ve used some Halo 4 music.

Evil Laugh
Hello child of my ancient enemy, just what lies beneath that armor?
It was good the way it is, the more mystery the better.

Or “I have long awaited this day Reclaimer, you shall not wreck it for me”.
Chief - “I won’t”.
I’m still on the edge of my seat to see who the voice actor is.
If it’s not Liam Neeson, I will be very disappointed. Whenever he spoke in the books, that’s how I imagined his voice to be.

Yes but to most people who watched it, don’t even know who the Didact is. They’ll just think he was one of those Promethean Knights Chief was fighting, noone special. There wasn’t really any mystery. The armour should’ve been different or the Didact should’ve got some lines or done something bad–Yoink-.

Anyone who mistakes him for a Promethean Knight needs their eyes checked. He was taller, thinner, and didn’t hunch like the Knights do.

Oh that was so obvious wasn’t it? sarcasm.
I didn’t even know it wasn’t a Knight until I came to these forums/
They should of at least put the line “I have long dreamt of this day reclaimer” that was at the end of one of the Halo 4 trailers, can’t remember which one. I assume its the Didact that speaks the line, but I also have to wonder if the trailer syncs up with the game’s story or if it non-canon John getting captured by the Didact. Guess we’ll find out Nov 6.

Yeah, it kind of was that obvious. Even if you do mistake the Didact for a Knight, the amount of rage you are going through confuses me. It’s not that big of a deal.

I think the trailer was perfect. I loved it and it had me squealing by the end of it. I’m actually surprised you know of the Didact and still mistook him for a knight. He clearly looks different. (and very badass)
I think that the omission of him speaking suits the trailer. No words were said in the whole trailer and words weren’t needed. IMO

I believe he meant that whenever the Didact spoke in the books he imagined Liam Neeson voice portraying the Didact.

I was referring to the Didact, and how I imagined his voice to be.
I didn’t think that needed elaboration.

Not bad. But it doesn’t portray the years of knowledge, experience, and regret that I imagine would be behind the Didact’s voice. It sounds too confident.

I heard that the Didact was going to be voiced by the guy who did Saren in Mass Effect 1, Fred Tatasciore.
I understand the trailer was very interesting with the new antagonist and all and it looks like it would be great to put it into a live action film cuz the quality is great but yet i am disappointed. the big problem i have with the trailer is we see john’s face. the great thing halo had was you could put anyone behind that mask. the mystery of master chiefs face aka john “Sierra 117” is destroyed yes i have read the books i been a fan of the halo since it came out in 2001 and one greatest things about halo the constant argument of what chief looks like under all that armor. now because of a trailer not the game or some other media like a movie has ripped that shred of mystery away after 11 years.
dont get me wrong i have no doubt the game will be good but somethings must remain sacred. like the mystery of the master chiefs face. who created the flood an for what purpose. i am upset at that call me what ever you want but i felt that is one of the things that made halo great. the ending of halo combat evolved made you want to see it soo bad but made you think would i look a him the same way if i did see it and relate it to an average Joe or some heroic warrior with a chiseled face or scared battle harden soldier. today is a sad day for the halo universe.

Unless you are able to bend the light captured by the camera to shift your perspective, you did not see John’s face. We saw a very slight profile of it, yes. But a full view? Not in the slightest.
People will get over seeing his face as a child. Its been seen before, just not in game. I would bet money that at some point in the series the helmet will come off. I doubt it would stay off for long.
