Oh dear Gods the Hydra as a starting weapon?
Not only that I will have every weapon the is in the map on each team! All vehicles will respond at your base. I hope when get forge we will be able to delete remove any and all of the kill and soft barriers like we could with Halo Online.
Peace!

Cheers mate, I’ll drink to that.
Interesting story. I don’t understand where education comes into play. I think fathers raise their sons the same way. What about upbringing and behavior in the game? I work in a large company for my country in a managerial position and I don’t consider myself a loser. Are we talking about the game in general or about life principles and ideologies? Man, this is a game! In life, a person will be skinny, pale and cannot make decisions in life, but he will smear you in Cs Go or Dota2. How can you compare play and education with life principles? Games have their own ideology of behavior and communication, just that they are games. The world is not real here. If you want life principles, look for them in real life. Before labeling people as “losers”, think about why they’re pulling out of a match? What is the reason? I’ll tell you - that the game is broken from the very release and no one is going to fix it.
I never said you were a loser. Just the mentality that if you quit just because you are down is a loser mentality. Its no fun for anyone to have your teammate give up nor to watch them quite. Not only that but joining a game means you should want to see the end no matter the outcome. If all you want to do is win then thats a sore loser mentality. Winning and losing is part of games and not everyone can be a winner, it doesn’t work like that. You can’t see the future either so you have no idea if a comeback would be possible. Not only that but its just selfish to leave your team and even if your whole team wants to quit its aelfish for them because the other team still wants to play. No one has ever dominated something there entire lives, people work for the skills they have and just because they are better now you are going say its not worth my time so i give up?
This is why on top of the changes i said above i would want very strict penalties to quitters. First offense 30 min ban minimum. Next 2 hours, 3rd time a whole day ban. You do it in ranked, auto drop a whole league so if you were diamond 5 you drop to plat 5 and you get a 1hour ban. Do this 3 times in ranked and you are banned for the season.
If the game is so broken that people will quit mid match then don’t start a match. Its better you don’t play at all then constantly quit just because you are down. Learn from your mistakes in game, watch what the better players do (the only reason I watch HCS is to see their strategies and to get drops). I just don’t see how quitting and screwing over everyone on your team and also preventing the opposing team from winning a fair match is good for the game.
No not saying my dad was really tough or anything outside of games and sports i have a great dad and sorry to hear you dont get along with yours but its just a good value to have to not ever give up. It was fun the first time i beat him in a game, i knew i had earned it. Had he let me just quit when i was down i would never have learned how to play said games. Unless you are the single best player to exist there will always be someone better than you. So to expect to never get destroyed every so often is just not reasonable. Also a 1v4 shouldn’t ever happen if no one quit. Quitting is the issue there…
And yeah if the world/this game were consequence free people would do all sorts of things. But its not and quitting does ruin it for literally everyone else. For the quitters sake they need to stay to learn more, how to play safer/over come odds. For their team to help, especially in a game where team shooting is key like Halo. For the opponents, if they are beating you, especially in ranked, they have earned the right to have the other team try their hardest and who knows if you clutch up or not. Why do we have phrases and words for when people win after being down i.e. comeback, clutch, upset etc. Its because those situations are possible.
Its more about respecting the other players and knowing they were committed to see the end of this match and have a fair game and you should be too.
Question, Theoretically speaking it’s a koth match.I’m the only one running in the hill. Are my teammates ruining it because they choose to sit outside and try to get easier kill while I’m risking my ‘stats’ over and over? Who is more of a ‘winner/loser’? Me if I choose to leave that match, or them for using me to pad their stats?
So you are assuming that them getting kills doesn’t help you keep the hill. Yes everyone should play the mode as intended. Ive had KOTH games where i have a ton of time in the zone but my teammates balled out on kills but had little to no zone time and we won. If you are complaining about your teammates skill and are in casual i don’t think you really have a good case. If you are talking about skill of players in ranked i have been suggesting for awhile that no queueing with less than a full team should be allowed. This would fix your problem. There are plenty of ways such as discord, xbox live, LFG, etc. to find teammates. Having less than a full team means you are likely not coordinating as you should and that you run into problems like you just mentioned. Quitting doesn’t help this problem and not stricly playing the object may actually be better in the long run but even if they aren’t then thats a whole separate problem than quitting.
And ranked KD does matter way too much to the algorithm for leveling so that is a whole other issue too. Multiple problems right there that all needed to be individually addressed.
Standing all in 1 hill is a bad strat, because you are then all close to each other and just spamming some nades, firing a rocket or a fusion coil will hurt you all. The enemy doesn’t even need all 4 players to get you all killed then.
Some example in a match i had some weeks ago: the enemy team took out all my teammates and all went into the hill (on the map Catalyst). I just grabbed a nearby fusion coil and threw it into the hill: 3 dead and 1 without shields. I rounded that last one up with an AR and capped the hill all by myself (both teams were close to scoring it). Because they all stayed in the hill, they lost a 4v1 situation. If they were more tacticcal and had 1 or 2 in the hill and the other 2 or 3 around it, i would never have been able to kill them all and they would have scored the hill.
Yes if no one goes in the hill they are not helping me or the team…especially if I can get more/faster kills than them. They are in essence, padding their stats. And asking a theoretical question is not complaining, I don’t think I’ve complained about anything, maybe I’m wrong though
Yeah thats a separate issue sadly that i don’t think quitting helps. What would help would be performance based XP systems where objectives are worth enough to make people want to play it. But for some reason 343 pubishes good players by making them earn as much as those who do what you are talking about.
Tell that to the jackasses who leave me in a 3v4 in Ranked.
How old are you? You’re not a sage. No kidding people will always be better. Like anybody here expects to be the best? There’s tens of thousands better than me.
Sure, but should you be expected to stick in a 1v4? A 2v4?
Haha I have had the discussion many times with my buddies. Only me and one other think that being on the “bottom” of a winning team in an objective game is actually the ‘top’. And I am referring to ranked, I basically play that 90 percent of the time.
If the people didn’t quit in the first place and leave you like that you wouldn’t have that problem. Stay in a 1v4 at that point no because its not a fair match but if you are the first to quit honestly i would hope those people just never play Halo or really any pvp game again. Its not fun to have that done to you nor is it cool to quit on teammates.
We have also gotten a bit off topic now but the last thing i said about SBMM plus all this i think would really help.
I mean the game tends to put people into high ping games which basically makes it a 3v4 match so i get why they quit also don’t forget how the game tends to crash a lot with no option to rejoin in ranked
No, I wouldn’t have that problem and I do hate that they quit… But nobody should be so beholden to what should be leisure. If they’re not feeling it, that’s okay.
I just want ranked quitters penalizing… Because we aren’t there to lose. Ever.
See i don’t think people should just play pvp so leisurely they feel they can just quit any time. It is fun and relaxing don’t get me wrong but the idea you can just quit whenever even in casual or social doesn’t sit well with me. Also thats just another reason to have more PvE modes like firefight already. There you could hop on solo and quit and its not affecting anyone else.
What is with people wanting casual to be a sweat fest?
Pvp shouldn’t be played leisurely
My guy the point of social is that you don’t have to try and play leisurely and socialize with people
The point is to try to play the game. Thats why there are rules and points and a winning team and losing team. If you are going to join a game and you know the rules only to say no i am going to screw over everyone by not doing so why are you even playing? For your own selfish enjoyment? Ever heard there is no I in team? If you want to go play something where you don’t affect anyone else go play a PvE solo game or mode. Why is it so hard for people to understand that you quitting because you just don’t feel like playing ruins it for everyone else in that game? Again it just comes down to do you respect your teams time and the opponents time or do you just want to waste it?
They don’t, thats why they want SBMM. Without SBMM the game would be extremely sweaty for the fast majority, because they will keep getting paired against way better players and since the better players are also more likely to team up, they would almost never win.
That is why “without SBMM it’s more casual” is an entitlement argument, because that is only the case for a select few, while it would be far far more sweaty for the rest. The overall least sweaty is if people match against people their own skill.
