I have owned the game since launch I had pre ordered it and everything now when i try to play it says I need the game pass and when I check my licenses for games it’s not there anymore I am just confused why I can’t play it anymore even though i have been playing since launch.
Check your “ready to download” section of “My Games and Apps” on your console. They game may have been uninstalled and should be available for reinstall there if this is the case.

Oh I thought you meant it wasn’t showing up in your downloaded games when you said it wasn’t under your licenses for games.
Do you own a digital copy or a disk copy? Have you ever been subscribed to Game Pass, either paid or free trial? Is you Xbox Live Gold subscription active?
Ultimately, licensing issues and problems with Live or Game Pass are best handled through Xbox Support.

This is a new error being reported after the latest console update. You may have to wait it out until a fix is implemented, but you can contact MS support in the meantime to increase the amount of reports for this issue.
